It’s well known that peak tourism times will see an increase in prices but these will vary with different countries and their seasons. Most often peak tourism times will be in the school holidays, mainly the summer holidays, so from mid June through until the end of August.

The off peak season will tend to be November to March if you’re looking for some winter sun. We know it’s not always possible to avoid the peak times so at Holiday Hypermarket we’ve still got some great cheap holiday packages.

On the other hand, if you’re self catering, try to cook and eat in your hotel room most nights to keep the costs down. Pop out to the local supermarket to buy alcohol to have back in your room and buy foods you can make picnics with so you can take lunch out with you.

It’s always nice to treat yourself to the odd ice cream or beer at the beach, so a helpful way to ensure you don’t go over the top is to just take out a certain amount of money for each day. But remember, if you’re on an all inclusive package this will already be paid for, and you won’t be limited to just one! Although all inclusive rules can vary in different places, be sure to read up before you go.
