Tallinn Holidays 2025/2026
From the moment you arrive in Tallinn you’ll feel as though you’ve stepped into a fairytale. With its charming Old Town and architecture that looks like a work of art, prepare to create an epic love story between you and the capital of Estonia.
Culture at every corner
Situated on a bay along the Baltic sea, this destination offers the best of both worlds – a culture-rich city teamed with a splendid slice of coast. From St Olaf’s Church’s striking structure to the winding paths of the Old Town, Tallinn’s beauty has to be seen to be believed.
Take a walk through Kadriorg Park, an outstanding area of lush greenery covering around 70 hectares, with a promenade leading directly to the president’s palace. With sprawling flower beds and a swan pond, it doesn’t get much prettier than this.
There’s even a number of museums in the park grounds, too. Art lovers will be in their element with a visit to the Estonian Art Museum, the Kadriorg Art Museum and the Mikkeli Museum. Get ready to be inspired!
An Old Town to take your breath away
Tallinn’s majestic medieval surroundings will captivate you as you make your way through its quaint, cobbled streets. All the best places to visit in Tallinn can be reached on foot, making your stroll through the city a truly beautiful adventure with each and every step.
The grand entrance into the Old Town is marked by two tremendous turrets known as Viru Gate, which makes for a seriously romantic spot as the street is also lined with florists – pick out a flower for your loved one and take their hand in yours as you embark on a wonderfully romantic stroll through this serene city. Tallinn is the perfect destination for a couples break!
You absolutely must take a walk through one of the most picturesque spots of all of Tallinn – St Catherine’s Passage. This half hidden walkway is a winding road that once led to St Catherine’s church, and makes for a beautiful and unique backdrop as you make your way through the city.
Get a taste of Tallinn
This treasure of the Baltic has so much to offer in terms of fantastic food. Just like the people of other Baltic countries, Estonians love their homemade bread, so get ready to tuck into some of the tastiest rye bread on planet earth. Many of the locals even boast about their secret family recipes which have been passed down through generations!
Being positioned on the edge of the Baltic Sea means one thing – there’s plenty of fresh fish nearby. You’ll find menus serving up delicious stews cooked up with sprats (tiny fish) as well plenty of smoked varieties too. You certainly won’t be short on Omega 3!
For a true Tallinn eating experience though, make sure to visit Olde Hansa – an internationally renowned medieval restaurant. Take your pick of game meat dishes and soak up the medieval atmosphere – this real authentic dining experience will have you feeling as though you’ve stepped back in time.
And if you’ve got a bit of a sweet tooth, there are plenty of places in the Old Town to sample handmade chocolates and other sweet treats. You can even take some home as gifts (if you can bear to share!)
An amazing adventure
A true mix of the old and the new, Tallinn is real treat all around. Whether you stay in the beating heart of the old city centre or take a trip to the pretty promenade along the coast, this destination will delight you with every passing moment. Tick something new off of your bucket list with a trip to Tallinn!
