Hanioti Holidays 2025/2026

The beautiful village of Hanioti has narrow streets and a magnificent, five kilometre-long beach. It’s a popular tourist destination thanks to its family-friendly activities, such as go-karting, mini golf and watersports, and its close proximity to Kalithea nightlife. As a result there are a good selection of restaurants, beach bars and shops for you to enjoy on cheap holidays to Halkidiki in this beautiful destination.

Fun activities for all the family

One of the many reasons behind the popularity of the resort is that it’s so family-friendly. The ‘Fun n Golf’ mini golf facility comes complete with a soft play area for toddlers, and specially-adapted golf clubs for young people. The adjoining ‘Fun n Drive’, has miniature go-karts, jeeps and quads for children enjoying Halkidiki holidays. However, adults aren’t left out as there is a fantastic bar overlooking these play areas where they can catch up on sports TV or simply enjoy a relaxing drink while watching over their children.

Watersports

There’s no chance of getting bored in Hanioti. The beach is a hub for watersports, and if you’ve never tried paragliding, scuba diving or windsurfing, now’s the time. Odyssey Dive Club in nearby Paliori, only six minutes away, is the place to pick up some skilled instruction in scuba diving. Of course if all of this sounds a little too energetic then hiring a pedalo or boat couldn’t be simpler on this beach.

Another centre of fun is the Waterland aqua park at Thessaloniki, 90 minutes away. The park is one of the largest of its type in Europe, and is a fantastic place for both adults and children over the age of 14 to unwind and have fun on their holidays to Greece.

Eating and drinking

With its plentiful restaurants and beach bars, you’ll find that you’re never far away from somewhere to eat or drink in Hanioti. Molos bar with its sunloungers and lively musical repertoire, is a fantastic place to indulge in a spot of people watching.

For restaurants, expect a diverse range of dishes – pizzas, steaks and traditional Greek food – all making an appearance on many of the menus. With generous portions, fairly moderate prices, and children encouraged to dine with their families, Hanioti has a deserved reputation as a family-friendly resort.

Of course, if you’re planning All Inclusive Halkidiki holidays, you’ll find there are plenty of great eating and drinking options included in your stay.

Retail therapy

No Greece holidays would be complete without a spot of shopping. Hanioti’s main square is the place to visit for the largest concentration of shops. Jewellery, ceramics and souvenirs can be found here. This is also a good place to go clothes shopping and, if you feel like bargaining, check out the evening street traders.

Picnic-lovers will be able to pick up sandwiches or light snacks at one of the town’s bars, or head to the local supermarket to pick up ingredients to make their own. Those looking for greater variety in shops, as well as some excellent local markets, might want to make the 90-minute drive to Thessaloniki.

All day and night long

Hanioti is as popular at night as it is by day. Many of the bars have DJs, while others offer karaoke or live music, and one bar even provides the opportunity to salsa the night away.

Most of Hanioti’s nightlife is to be found in the restaurants based around the village square. Come the evening, there’s a warm welcome at Afros bar, and there’s a party vibe at Mystique.

If your idea of fun is to simply spend time with a drink in hand people watching and enjoying live music, then Hanioti bars and restaurants will provide you with plenty of entertainment.

Scenic countryside

The modern town of Hanioti was only built in 1936 – there was an older village closer to the mountain but this was destroyed by an earthquake. A small whitewashed church is all that remains of the old village today.

However, the scenery more than makes up for the lack of historical buildings. With towering mountains as a backdrop, surrounded by some beautiful countryside, there are plenty of places to exercise your legs and do a little exploring.

Alternatively, simply stroll along the beach and take in the natural beauty of the area. There are also five large parks on the peninsula if you feel like exploring further afield.
