Rocky coast to explore

Nissaki is a small but charming resort at the foot of Mount Pantokrator. Made up of three coved beaches each with its own unique characteristics, Nissaki has enough golden sand for all the family, while never feeling overcrowded. Learn to scuba dive or hire a boat and explore the rocky coast at your leisure.

This quiet village is one of Corfu‘s most beautiful, with easy connections to the nearby resorts of DassiaIpsosKalami and Agni Bay, it’s easy to get a change of scenery whenever you need. Not that you’ll ever get bored, as there are a handful of authentic local shops and restaurants, with the option to head up to Corfu Town if you need something more on your Corfu holidays.

A beach retreat

Whether you’re a couple looking for the perfect romantic getaway or a family with kids who love to play in the shallows, Nissaki boasts enough sandy shores for everyone to relax and explore side-by-side. If you’re in need of a bit of time to yourself, the three coves offer sheltered and tranquil spots to soak in the sun.

So, rent a parasol and sun lounger, throw down your towel and race your friends out to the water. If you’re an action and adventure lover then you can take part in the range of water-sports offered at Nissaki. These include scuba-diving and boat hire. Chartering a sea-vessel you can see Corfu at your pace, and find your very own private cove.

Take a walk on the wild side

Nissaki is surrounded by pine forests that crawl up the foot-hills of Mount Pantokrator, the highest peak on Corfu. This makes for absolutely breathtaking walks which form one of the most beautiful parts of the Corfu Trail – a network of paths that cross most of the island.

If you want to go further than you can on foot, then rent a bicycle from Nissaki or another of the neighbouring resorts. These are more often than not very cheap and can be returned at your leisure once you’ve finished with them. Alternatively, there are some locations like Corfu Town that have horse riding facilities, so you can explore the island on the back of a trusty steed.

Day trips to Corfu Town

Nissaki is well connected by public transport, meaning that regular buses run to and from nearby resorts and bustling Corfu Town. If you’re planning cheap holidays to Corfu here, note that reaching the further sides of the island does require a change in the capital, but you can always include some time seeing the city.

Once in Corfu Town it’s just a matter of what to do first. Top of your list ought to be the Old Fortress which stands as a firm reminder of the rich Venetian culture that was once the identity of the island. This fort withstood three sieges from the Ottoman Empire, and is open to the public for people to learn about what it really meant to defend the city from such an attack multiple times.

In the stylish commercial district you’ll find boutique fashion stores and jewellers, selling high-end clothing and accessories for you to take home. If you want to try your hand at bartering then the Old Town is brimming with market stalls with traders who love a good haggling match with tourists. Here you’ll find olive oils, spirits, leather sandals and novelty t-shirts – they’ll make top gifts for family and friends.

Agni Bay is just a stone's throw away

For just over ‚¬50 per day you can speed around on the open water on your very own speedboat. Agni Bay is a favourite among those with their own boats, as its little more than a scenic beach and line of family run tavernas. If you thought Nissaki was an escape, you’ll be blown away by just how secluded Agni Bay is.
