A guide to the best restaurants in Binibeca
With its prime location on the coast, it’s no surprise that a vast assortment of Binibeca‘s restaurants feature stunning seaside views – so you never have to sacrifice a gorgeous landscape for gourmet food. In addition you’ll be treated to laid-back atmospheres with a hint of luxury on your Menorca holiday, and sometimes there’ll even be a curry or two.
A talking parrot at El Faro Restaurant
Upon arriving at the El Faro Restaurant, you’re greeted by gorgeous views of the Cala Torret bay, friendly service and a talking parrot. Fish-centric dishes like squid and sole are the top choices at this seaside-facing place, which also offers steak and pasta for the less seafood-inclined. Other special treats include complimentary bread and aioli plus a drink with your bill.
Fresh clams at Restaurante El Pescadito
Hidden away in the whitewashed Binibeca Vell, Restaurante El Pescadito only uses the freshest fish in its seafood-heavy menu. The clams are treated to a flavourful marinara and the paella is stewed with a homemade sauce. Just make sure to leave room for dessert – the wedges of chocolate cake and apple tart are of epic proportions.
A dash of romance at Dean Lafosse at Pedros
This restaurant takes romantic dining to a whole new level. With wrap-around views of the sea, there isn’t a bad seat in the house. Spanish seafood dishes meet British steak and ale pies on this eclectic menu, which always features fresh dishes and lovely presentation. The venue also has a cocktail bar for pre-dinner drinks and a shop with local, handmade wares for after-dinner shopping.
Veggie heaven at Restaurante Salitre
The menu at Restaurante Salitre specialises in dishes with a veggie twist, like a beetroot burger or tagliatelle with mushrooms and prawns. You can also delight in fresh seafood dishes such as tuna sashimi and lobster carpaccio, all of which are enhanced by the sea views from the outdoor terrace.
Dinner and a show at The Smugglers
The Smugglers is practically a full-service night club, with evening karaoke, rock and roll bingo and quiz events. But above all, it’s a restaurant serving familiar British eats for the homesick traveller. Here, you’ll find steak and chips, a full English breakfast, curries and chicken in a brandy and cream sauce, plus a good old Eton mess for pudding.
Homemade dessert at Na Rosa
It might look low-key from the outside, but Na Rosa’s menu is anything but. Here, the favourite dishes include platters with cheeses and cold meats, as well as fish dishes with a selection of tuna, swordfish, salmon and many others. Did we mention there’s a long wine list to match? Insider tip – the desserts here are homemade, so you’d be wise to fit one in.
Menorcan tapas at Taberna del Corso
Sharing is caring at Taberna del Corso, as their fresh dishes are made in smaller, tapas-sized portions so you can sample more from their Menorcan menu with an Indian twist. Highlights are the squid ink risotto with prawns, plus unexpectedly exotic dishes like tempura prawns and red chicken curry.
Sangria slushies at Pizza al Vuelo
Putting a food truck on a ‘best of’ restaurants list might seem a little unorthodox, but when it’s as good as Pizza al Vuelo, we had no choice. The chefs here are constantly coming up with new pizza toppings, such as chicken curry or you can make-your-own. They also have waffles and ice-cream on the menu and will treat you to a frozen sangria while you wait.
Cliffside dining at Bucaneros Binibequer
The Bucaneros Binibequer is a modest beach bar with thatched umbrellas located just off a rocky cliffside. It’s a great pit-stop on your way to and from the beach. The food menu is limited – with dishes like lamb, chicken and chips and ice-cream – but the drinks are not. You’ll be able to enjoy sips like a mojito or a cup of coffee and, if you leave the servers a tip, they’ll ring a ship’s bell as a thanks.
Pub vibes at Bini Dos
With a laid-back inn atmosphere and a footie match on TV, the Bini Dos is your friendly, neighbourhood pub transported to Binibeca. Here, you’ll find British favourites like bacon cheeseburgers and curries, plus Spanish-infused seafood and ice-cold beers.
