In terms of presentation alone, the food here looks incredible – and the reviews are only positive when it comes to taste. It’s an undeniably Greek affair at Village House, with plenty of tzatziki and humus being served, but the standard of these classic dishes is very high. Consider the Greek mixed plate or the fillet steak. The restaurant boasts great views and the all-important friendly, characterful staff, too.

Odyssia Restaurant combines top quality contemporary dining with Greek authenticity and style. Take your pick from the fabulous rabbit stifado, the delicate seafood pasta or the succulent rack of lamb. In addition, this slightly upmarket establishment enjoys a pleasant setting.

Special occasions at Ambrosia Restaurant

Perfectly well-balanced tastes and textures characterize this delightful Greek and Mediterranean-influenced eatery. Ambrosia is the right choice for a special occasion as the prices of the menu are a little more expensive than some of the others in Lindos. The food served here is Mediterranean and Greek, and the owner George is very knowledgeable on the subject of wine so expect the full luxury treatment.

Another amazing setting, another great restaurant. Kalypso and its quaint architecture commands a good view of the Acropolis so it seems fitting that staff here serve up a selection of Greek dishes, although there’s a healthy international flavour to sections of the menu too. The restaurant’s food is always cooked to order, using local produce. Manager Kiki is so accommodating he has been known to provide free tzatsiki and beer on rare occasions – although don’t hold us to that.

Dionysos serves relaxed Greek dishes with high quality service in a genuinely breathtaking setting. The rooftop terrace affords you views across Lindos, while the menu delights with its astounding variety of Greek dishes.

Italo-Greek at Mythos Restaurant

Yet another restaurant that provides spectacular views of Acropolis and Lindos is Mythos Restaurant. Mythos has a wonderfully large rooftop terrace where you can dine on a mix of Greek and Italian fare. Owners George and Tsampika make the experience truly special with their caring attitude and great team of staff.

Worth the walk at Tambakio

Tambikio looks beautiful, sat right by the beach, and yes, you can lounge around while you wait for your lunch if you decide to eat here. It really is a beautiful setting, and, as with the rest on this list, the service does the beauty justice. As for the food, try the grilled octopus, the tuna steak and the Tzatskiki. Wear flat shoes as it’s at the bottom of a slope.
