This restaurant occupies an elevated position above the sea with stunning views across the bay. The unadulterated view is complemented by the organic, wholesome food on the menu. They get the basics spot on with home-grown organic tomatoes, fresh bread from the wood-fired oven and cheese made from the milk of their very own cow. You can even buy some homemade jam to take back.

Situated on the beach, Antonello’s at Xi is a good lunchtime spot owned by a British woman and her Greek husband. With a rustic outdoor seating area on the way to the beach, they have a good range of Greek dishes including vegetarian options that are not easy to find in Kefalonia.

Dining on holidays in Kefalonia is traditionally a relaxed affair, but Novita certainly has an extra touch of class about it, maybe it’s the white linen tablecloths. With a handy location on the main road overlooking the harbour, the restaurant looks impressive on the outside and has tables arranged over three floors.
