A guide to nightlife in Costa Teguise
Holidays to Lanzarote often centre around nightlife – and the nightlife in Costa Teguise is concentrated on Avenida de Jablillo. If you head there you’ll find a mix of family karaoke bars, traditional English pubs and some decent cocktail bars too. A few places offer evening entertainment every night of the week, and most bars will be open much later than back home – so you can plan for one or two big nights out.
Late night antics at Jesters Bar
Jesters Bar on Avenida del Canarias is where you can find the last people standing after a night out in Costa Teguise. A British-owned bar with a truly international feel, you can drink, dance and sing your night away here until 4am every day, all year round. One of the hot spots for karaoke and also one of the best-loved bars in the whole resort.
People-watching at Hook
Hook Cocktail Bar can be found on the main square in Costa Teguise and is one of the best places to enjoy an expertly made cocktail. Known for its excellent service and pleasant atmosphere, drinks are reasonably priced and its outdoor seating is a great place for watching the goings on in the square.
Alcohol alchemy at Dickens Cocktail Bar
A family run bar with table service and a welcoming, friendly atmosphere, Dickens Cocktail is another local favourite in Costa Teguise. The cocktails are excellent and good value for money, and you can expect live music two nights a week. This is another good place for people watching and relaxed drinks with friends.
Debauchery and good times at Lively Lady Show Bar
The Lively Lady Show Bar is one of the most infamous night time spots of all of Lanzarote’s holiday destinations. A contrast to the quiet cocktail bars in the area, a night here involves shows full of outrageous comedy and naughty innuendo. This is definitely a place for adults rather than families and its shows won’t appeal to all, but the fun, inclusive atmosphere is infectious and many people return year after year.
Classic craftmanship at Esquire Cocktail Bar
If you’re really into your cocktails and enjoy seeing experts at work then a night at Esquire Cocktail Bar should be a priority during your Costa Teguise holiday. Everyone who’s been here comments on the skills of its owner and mixologist, and it’s because of this that Esquire enjoys one of the best reputations not just in this resort but in the whole of Lanzarote.
Fun for all the family at The Star Bar
You can find the Star Bar in the same complex as Jesters, and it shares its energetic entertainment and sense of fun. With karaoke, pool and even a children’s bouncy castle, this is a great place for families, and a particularly popular destination whenever there’s a big match on.
Packed-out parties at Chispas Bar
A small bar that, due to its reputation, can sometimes get a bit crowded. Never mind – this is one of those places that has people talking about it even once they’re home. Known especially for its great staff and very cheap drinks, Chispas is a great place to either start or finish your evening out and many customers end up here at some point on every night of their stay.
Magma Lanzarote is on the corner of Costa Teguise’s main square and its location means it’s a great place to chill out and observe some entertainment or chat until it’s time for bed. Magma offers an excellent drinks selection at competitive prices, as well as friendly and reliable service. This is one of the slightly quieter places in Costa Teguise, where you can sit outside and absorb the goings on in the centre of the resort.

Sing along at Abbey Road Bar
This Beatles-themed bar is a good example of the unexpected extras a cheap trip to Lanzarote can surprise you with. Slightly eccentric but also well-known for being one of the friendliest places in Costa Teguise, you won’t have to like the Beatles to enjoy the atmosphere, cheap drinks and nightly entertainment – even Rolling Stones fans will be made to feel welcome.
