A guide to nightlife in La Pineda
A typical evening out in La Pineda will probably start with good food, continue with a few drinks and then go on to some live entertainment, such as karaoke or a quiz. This might all be possible at your hotel – many offer full programs of entertainment, including music or comedy or cabaret. However, if you’re not travelling All Inclusive to Costa Dorada, or you just want one night out to explore the local area, then your evening out will take a similar course, with La Pineda offering everything you might need. Here are a few places in La Pineda to look out for.
Pacha La Pineda
Ok, so La Pineda does happen to be home to one of the biggest nightclubs in the whole of Spain. This isn’t for families looking to enjoy the Aquopolis and PortAventura – think loud music and foam parties rather than family-friendly fun – but Pacha is the biggest nightlife spot in the area by far and if you’re looking to dance till late then it’s the only place to go. Expect a very late night, some of the world’s best DJs, the biggest dance floor you’ve ever seen and a night you’ll want to share with friends back home.
Oh La La
The phrase ‘hidden gem’ seems to come up a lot when people discuss Oh La La. It’s a little bit tricky to find, but ask any local and they’ll point you in the right direction. Monday night is a famous one at Oh La La, particularly for those making the most of cheap holidays to Costa Dorada, because it’s ‘all you can eat ribs night’, and by all accounts the ribs are incredible. Then, after you’ve washed your hands, you can enjoy a cocktail or a beer and decide where the night might take you next.
Hennessey's Irish Pub
Hennessey’s Irish Pub can be found on Carrer d’Hipolit Lazaro, and if you fancy a Guinness or a fun time playing bingo then it’s the place to go in La Pineda. A small, fun and friendly place where you’ll be welcomed with a smile and the promise of a fun evening.
Batucada
Batucada is a cocktail bar enjoying a great spot by the beach in La Pineda. One of the only places to get expertly made cocktails in La Pineda – we’ve heard that some people even make the trip from Salou, which has plenty of its own cocktail bars, because the drinks here are so good.
La Casa Nostra
A family-friendly restaurant and bar that’s open until fairly late but not crazily so. La Casa Nostra serves big portions of simple but well-executed food and a selection of drinks to help you unwind after your meal. And the menu comes in English – always a bonus in this area of Spain.
Oasis Bar
Oasis Bar is a simple and inexpensive English bar perfect for a chilled out drink after a long day at the beach. The inside is cool and shady and you’ll feel welcome with its intimate atmosphere and friendly hosts – holidays to Costa Dorada wouldn’t be the same without bars like this.
Mix La Pineda
Mix La Pineda is a modern and sophisticated place, serving food and cocktails on an attractive terrace with lovely sea views. The menu is really broad – with everything from sushi to burgers – so families can go there assured that everyone will find something they like. With live music from singers from around the world, this is a great place for families or groups of adults looking for a more chilled-out evening than places open until 3am usually offer.
