Biosfera Plaza Shopping Centre in Puerto del Carmen is great with international brands like Zara, Timberlands and Foot Locker, among so many more. There’s plenty of entertainment options here too, including an open air cinema and mini golf!

Rubicon Shop & Fun in Playa Blanca, offers plenty of shops and small boutiques like Pandora, Levi’s and Adidas, as well as stunning views across the island of Fuerteventura. There’s also a play room for little ones, and a bowling alley for family fun.

Teguise Market is the biggest market across the island and is hosted every Sunday. Here, you can pick up everything from local produce to hand made goods – remember haggling is the best way to make the most of your cheap Lanzarote holiday!

Canarian cuisine

Canarian cuisine is a blend of Spanish, African and Latin American influences – fitting for its geographical position, but you’ll also find plenty of dishes from all over so you really can indulge.

Fresh seafood is a delicacy in Lanzarote and you’ll often find menus heavily fish led. Dishes could typically be made up of cherne, vieja or sama, with locally made sauces and salted potatoes.

Papas Arrugadas is a staple Canarian side dish where potatoes are boiled in heavily salted water so that the potato skins become wrinkly and salty, then they’re served with the Canaries’ famous Mojo sauces.

Being known for its goat’s cheese, no holiday in Lanzarote is complete without trying their Queso De Cabra. Usually served with mojo sauces, or honey, or with grilled veggies, it’s a delicious dish!

Nightlife

Whilst it can be considered nowhere near as rowdy as the island of Tenerife, holidays to Lanzarote still provide a lively night out and plenty of evening fun in its own style.
