When Mandy Baggot’s new book ‘Truly Madly Greekly’ arrived in the office I was off to Greece on holiday, so this seemed like the perfect opportunity to review the book, and wasn’t I in for a treat.
Sun, sea and a sexy stranger – a whole lot of fun just got a whole lot a complicated…
Capable, confident and career-driven, Ellen had her dream job and a marriage proposal from boyfriend Ross. Life was good, her future set. Until it wasn’t and everything fell apart…
Whisked off to the beautiful island of Corfu to plan her sister Lacey’s big, fat, Greek wedding, Ellen is hoping some time out will help clear her head and heal her heart. But letting go of her past is not going to be easy.
With Lacey in full on Bridezilla mode, Ellen is soon distracted from her own problems. And when the all-inclusive treats on offer at hotel Blue Vue include one gorgeous, brooding Adonis – Yan – Ellen finds him difficult to resist.
But Ellen isn’t looking for love or lust, or anything involving too much ouzo…or is she?
With Ellen harbouring a secret which was about to push her over the edge and Lacey wanting to have fun, without giving too much away, this book will have you turning the pages quicker than you can order a refill at the bar.
And the best part was I didn’t even have to imagine the beautiful scenery as I laid there on a stunning Greek beach and glanced up to find it right there in front of me. I even spotted a few Yan lookalikes!
On a whole, this book is a feel good summer read, packed with romance, fun, and adventure from start to finish. So, whether you’re on holiday in the sun or chilling in the comfort of your back garden, this book is bound to put a smile on your face as you let your imagination run wild.
Thank you Mandy Baggot for a really enjoyable summer read.
Has this book given you the inspiration to visit Corfu?
