PortAventura – Costa Dorada
Take the whole family to Spain’s largest theme park, PortAventura. You’ll find this theme park in the city of Salou, Costa Dorada. It’s divided into five areas based on civilisations of the world, plus there’s a massive waterpark too. Spend the day exploring the many themes and lands, including Mediterrania, the far west, Mexico, China, Polynesia and a Sesame Street land. Each world has world-class rides and rollercoasters, shopping and incredible shows with music and dancing.
Tibidabo Amusement Park – Barcelona
If you’re in Barcelona, take a visit to the 100-year-old Tibidabo Amusement Park offering 25 rides and plenty of attractions for the whole family. This park is a must-visit, and is one of the oldest amusement parks still running. Children will love the performances and street theatre and adults will get to experience the best views of Barcelona from the look out point. Try the Red Aeroplane ride and it’ll feel like you’re flying above the city.
Terra Mitica – Benidorm
If you’re searching for thrills, Benidorm‘s Terra Mitica amusement park is your place. Try out the many rides, roller coasters and splash zones all sure to get your heart racing. There are lots of places to eat and drink in the park and it’s an easy walk around all of the attractions. If you have little children they’ll enjoy visiting the animals at the theme park’s own zoo.
Isla Magica – Seville
This is a small park catered to families and although there’s not a great deal of thrill rides, there are good shows and water rides – a welcome escape from the heat. You can ride the roller coasters, get drenched on the log fume or try out the 4D cinema. And, to make things even better, there’s a newly-opened waterpark inside too, so get ready for some fun in the sun.
Tivoli World – Benalmadena
Tivoli World in Benalmadena is a cross between a theme park and a fairground with plenty of attractions suitable for younger children, such as Ferris wheels and go-karts. It’s open until midnight in the height of summer, so riding the illuminated rides at night is a great way to skip the daytime queues.
Oasys Mini Hollywood – Almeria
Spain loves its Wild West adventure parks and Costa Almeria is no exception. Immerse yourself in a spaghetti Western town while you watch cowboy shows with epic stunts and walk through the replica town. Children will enjoy the park’s zoo along with a parrot show. There are also lots of places to feed the little ones when lunchtime comes calling, including a replica saloon.
