Jaw-Dropping Hotel
Acanthus Cennet Barut Collection is in the popular area of Side. Set on Turkey’s south coast, about an hour from Antalya, Side hasn’t really changed a lot since when the Romans were here. There’s an untouched old town and crumbling ruins flanking the sandy beaches if you’re into exploring history on your travels. Modern luxuries get a good look-in, too, with a chic harbour, waterfront restaurants and lively bars.
It’ll take around an hour to get to the hotel from Antalya Airport, but once you reach Side, you’ll be pleased to find the Acanthus Cennet Barut Collection in a great location. There’s a sandy beach right outside and it’s about 100m from shops, bars and restaurants. Central Side is around 2km away and you can use public transport if you need, there’s a bus stop 200m from the hotel.
Back at the hotel, the rooms here will have you not wanting to leave! There’s a wide range of rooms on offer to suit all budgets and holiday groups. Double rooms or deluxe double rooms, and family rooms are available here. For added luxury, there is the penthouse suite which will have you feeling like royalty. All rooms and suites have air-conditioning, a minibar, tea or coffee-making facilities, a shower, Wi-Fi and a safety deposit box.
Splashing Around
The outdoor pool’s a decent size, and sun loungers are lined on the spacious terrace for sunbathing. Just so you know, the outdoor pool is only available during the summer months. There’s also an indoor pool which is waiting to welcome guests in winter months.
For the guests who’ve chosen to upgrade their room to a swim up suite, you’ll have direct access to a pool area that’s just for you and what could be better than hopping out of bed and straight into the pool for a morning swim?
Kids aren’t left out either! There’s a small outdoor pool which they can enjoy in the sunny summer months, as well as an indoor one for the wintertime, open November to April.
Delicious Dishes
If variety is super important to you when it comes to food, you won’t be disappointed at Acanthus Cennet Barut Collection. As well as the main suspect, Palmiye buffet restaurant, this hotel boasts three tasty a la carte restaurants, all serving up different cuisines. Just so you know, all a la carte restaurants require a booking prior to your visit.
Dishes at Lavanta a la carte restaurant include ravioli, tortellini with ricotta, penne arabiatta, and beef medallions. And why not enjoy a fine wine or dessert, too. Roka a la carte plates up the freshest seafood, plus you’ll find signature dishes on the menu, too. Last, but by no means least, we have Safran à la carte restaurant. The main courses here will certainly whet your appetite, from chicken roulade to salmon steaks or sea bass, plus roasted lamb.
Grown ups will be pleased to know the lobby lounge and terrace bar are open 24 hours a day! So, no matter what time you fancy that well-deserved glass of wine or ice cold beer, there’ll be someone on hand to get it to you. The pool bar is also open a good chunk of the day, from 10am to midnight, for those mid-swim refreshments.
Fun Filled Days
Acanthus Cennet Barut Collection has a fantastic kids’ club for 4 to 12-year-olds, which is open from 10am to 11pm. It has a sleeping area, games room, plus its own mini-cinema. There’s also Bary Star, which is for newborns and young infants, and it is run by the Bary Star team. It has cots, pushchairs, baby monitors and highchairs to name a few.
If you enjoy keeping active during your holiday, you’ll find lots to keep you busy at Acanthus Cennet Barut Collection! You can try your hand at a long list of activities, including aqua aerobics, boccia, chess, darts, step aerobics, table tennis, tennis and yoga. There’s also the opportunity to give watersports a go, but just to make you aware, these are run by a third-party supplier and not by the hotel.
In the evenings, the whole family can enjoy the fantastic entertainment programme, which offers everything from live shows to acrobatic performances. There’s also the lobby bar which offers a more laid back vibe for those who want to chill out and enjoy a nice drink, and maybe read a book or have a nice chat with some other families.
