Seeking the last of the summer sun? Then Ibiza is your best bet. As the island warms up for its spectacular closing parties it would be rude not to! Plus, nothing says ‘end of summer’ like partying to this year’s biggest anthems in some of the world’s most famous clubs, before Ibiza shuts its doors and prepares for another unforgettable season.
After recently spending 4 days on my favourite island, and my third visit, it’s safe to say that I can’t get enough of this place. Home to some of the biggest clubs on the planet and just a short 2 hours and 30 minutes flight from the U.K, what isn’t there to love? So if you’re thinking of jetting off and Ibiza takes your fancy, why not join me on my jaunt as I re-visit my top island hotspots?
Super club Space
Space is one of the oldest and largest clubs in Ibiza, and certainly lives up to the hype. With a 2000 capacity in its main room alone there’s plenty of room to bust some dance floor-worthy moves.
As you make your way to the DJ booth expect to hear body-moving beats playing out from the overhead speakers as you watch the room fill up. But world-class DJs weren’t the only attraction. For me the stilt-wearing, body-painted dancers were just as fascinating, especially when they joined the crowd of clubbers and were happy to pose for photos.
The club’s terrace was also one of my favourite spots as it offered a completely different atmosphere. The terrace was a lot smaller in comparison to the main room, offering a more intimate feel, ideal for those sit-down drinkers.
Unique Ushuaia
Positioned opposite Space is Ushuaia. This VIP hotel is worth the high entry fee because you won’t experience anything else like this during your stay on the island. On arrival, the club’s impressive poolside stage, state-of-the-art interiors and purple mood lighting instantly took my breath away. But that was nothing compared to the electric atmosphere that filled the pool area as DJs Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso hit the stage and mixed some of this summer’s most-played anthems. So if Ushuaia isn’t at the top of your Ibiza to-do list it should be after reading this!
Ocean beach: The most luxurious sunbathing experience in Ibiza
When it comes to day parties Ocean Beach Ibiza is the place to strike that poolside pose. This club is all about sunbathing in style with its luxurious cabanas, over-water sun beds and laid-back seating areas where partiers can take it easy for a couple of hours. Or if you’re easily bored with sunbathing the gigantic surrounding pool is the best place to cool off. Ocean Grooves, the event I attended, was amazing as the extremely energetic DJ knew exactly how to work the crowd, making it hard to leave the dance floor. His mixture of house classics and old school R&B was an instant hit, and saw everyone dancing the day away under the blazing Ibiza sun.

Bouncing Bora Bora
You can’t miss Bora Bora beach. As you walk down Playa d’en Bossa’s busy strip you’ll come across the famous Bora Bora sign, where we stopped for a photo as this is a must for the photo album. From the minute you step onto the warm, white sand you’ll hear soulful house music playing out across the rippling waters of the Balearic Sea.
If like me you choose to escape the scorching heat for a few hours, there are plenty of shaded areas at the Bora Bora beach club. This is where the biggest island partiers tend to congregate. With special guest appearances and a resident DJ all just metres away from the ocean this was the ultimate Ibiza experience. And there’s no entry fee, which was great as I’m sure you’re aware Ibiza isn’t known for its cheap price tags.
Café Mambo: A sunset that will stay with you forever
Located in San Antonio’s famous sunset strip you’ll find Café Mambo. As one of the most in-vogue locations in Ibiza you’ll witness world-famous DJs hitting the decks to warm up for the evening’s main event, making Mambo’s the best pre-party spot on the strip. Famous for its out-of-this-world sunsets make sure you get there early because the atmosphere leading up to the sun’s departure is truly extraordinary, so planning ahead is essential.
