The Obermair Hotel started life as a simple guesthouse but it’s now a popular hotel. Over the years, the owners have added an annexe, an indoor pool and a wellness area. But despite all the changes, the hotel has retained its traditional charm.

The majority of our rooms are in the annexe. They’re straightforward and comfortable, but you have the option of upgrading to the main building where rooms have a classic Alpine look and feel.

There’s always a great range of hot and cold food available at the buffet breakfast, so you’ll have plenty of choice.

The Obermair Hotel is located just on the edge of town and the Penken gondola is only a 10-minute walk away. A trip on the gondola is inspiring, and you’ll see some of the best scenery in the world. You can then also explore all the fun at 1,790 metres above sea level.

Down at ground level, there’s a five-kilometre walking trail that will take you from Mayrhofen to Hippach. Or, you can go on a hike to the peak of Ahorn. If you plan on getting out and about a little further into the Ziller Valley, the bus and train stations are both close by.

With sparkling lakes, soaring Alpine scenery and plenty of areas for adventurers, Mayrhofen is a paradise waiting to be explored.
