Refurbished in the summer of 2018, the Abora Continental by Lopesan was formerly known as the Ifa Continental Hotel. With a sandy beach only a couple of minutes’ walk away, the revamped Abora Continental by Lopesan is ideally positioned close to bars and a shopping arcade. It offers a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, plus there are tropical palm gardens and a delightful pool area to enjoy. In fact, the hotel is home to two large pools. Both contain waterfalls and whirlpool baths that are perfect for rest and recuperation away from the lively main resort, which really comes alive during the evenings. If you like to stay active, the hotel offers basketball, football and volleyball matches, and there are also opportunities to take part in rifle shooting and shuffleboard.
Known as the ‘miniature continent’, Gran Canaria is an island full of outstanding natural beauty. It has some of the most beautiful beaches in the Canary Islands, as well as pale, rolling dunes made of sand from the dreamy Saharan desert. Holidays to Gran Canaria offer an opportunity to try new and exciting experiences, from a few rounds on some of the world’s best golf courses, to carnivals and charming villages. With a host of lively resorts such as Playa del Ingles, where you’ll find the Abora Continental by Lopesan, there’s no shortage of things to see and do in Gran Canaria.
Playa del Ingles welcomes thousands of holidaymakers every year. As a result, there’s no shortage of things to see and do. Whether you’re a party-goer or an adventure-seeker, Playa del Ingles and the Abora Continental by Lopesan can provide a great getaway if you’re looking for sun-soaked days combined with evenings of entertainment and dancing. If you’re looking for natural attractions and historical architecture, Mundo Aborigen, a recreation of an ancient Canarian village, is only six kilometres north, in Fataga. And in San Agustin you’ll find relaxing spa therapy treatments and an ice cave, in case you fancy pampering yourself. You’ll also find bus stops dotted around the resort, so getting around the island is simple. Sweet.
