What’s more, the famous artist residence Fundacion Cesar Manrique is a must-see for art and culture lovers, but also makes a good family trip out with some fascinating sights.
Lanzarote’s only waterpark, Aquapark, is situated here in Costa Teguise too, as is its fun aquarium which is home to turtles, sharks and stingrays. Breathtaking beaches
Costa Teguise holidays boast five stunning beaches – the largest two, Playa Cucharas and Playa Bastain, offer plenty of amenities along with long stretches of fine golden sand. These offer plenty of space to lay out your towel, splash around, or build castles with the kids.
The smaller beaches are more rustic and naturally beautiful, such as local favourite Playa Ancla, perfect for swimmers and snorkelers with its clear blue water. This tends to be less busy than its bigger neighbours, so if you’re looking for a quieter, more secluded spot, Playa Ancla is for ypu.
And the best part? All five beaches are linked by a long promenade with shops and restaurants, so if you fancy a change of scenery, it’s easy to stroll on over to the next one. Plus, you’ve got everything you could need at arm’s length when that stomach rumbles, or it’s time for that compulsory ice cream, or it hits beer o’clock – but that’s all the time on holiday anyway!
This coast of Lanzarote is also known for its watersports – Costa Teguise is prone to windy conditions, so you can take up windsurfing or water-skiing and glide across the waves.

Scuba diving in Costa Teguise is known as being among the best in Europe. With a range of companies and professional instructors catering to all levels of ability, you’ll be swimming alongside turtles and cuttlefish in crystal clear lagoons before you can say ‘PADI course’. Playa Blanca is a tad further at about a 40 minutes drive, but the Marina Rubicon is certainly worth the visit for the dreamy views and again, another great spot for a romantic dinner.
The nightlife
Head to Avenida de Jablillo if you’re looking for a fun evening out, here you’ll find everything from traditional English pubs to glamorous cocktail bars, and even a Beatles-themed bar.
If it’s the neon lit clubs you’re after, Puerto Del Carmen will be your best bet and there’s always plenty of drinks offers to keep them flowing.
