Set on a hillside, just 15-minutes’ walk from the harbour, this cosy, colourful place has a kind of old-school cool to it. There’s a nice pool and terrace, with a little pool for kids too. You can hire bikes, play a bit of pool, and all the apartments come equipped with kitchenettes. If you want to head out into town, it’s a short ride away. Oh, and the airport is only 25 minutes by car.

This is a beautiful place. Luxury is all around you here, from the gorgeous pools with palm trees all around, to the a la carte restaurant serving lunch overlooking the harbour. Traditionally-Mediterranean in style, with a lovely big pool and sun terrace, this hotel is delightfully simple, with oodles of easy charm. You’re right in the middle of things here too, with the sandy beach a couple of minutes away on foot. And while there’s a handy bar by the pool, it’s only a 15-minute walk to vibrant Playa de las Americas, where you’ll find all the bars and restaurants you could ever need.

You’re surrounded by calming tropical gardens, the beach is right there when you need it, and the pool is epic. There are a lot of things going for this spacious, classic property. You can grab a snack by the pool, there’s a buffet restaurant for all your meals, and the little ones have their own club. This place is well positioned too, nice and close to the centre of things, and just half an hour’s drive from the airport.

Located on a picturesque avenue, with a beautiful rooftop pool overlooking the town, the Ska Olivina is a great base with an elegant look and feel. It’s a 10-minute walk to the beach, and is 15-minutes from Los Cristianos. The rooms are stylish but understated, there’s a cool bar on the roof for cocktails with a view, and a gym if you’re feeling the need to burn off some energy after a day on the lounger.
