Perfect for those who prefer a more relaxed vacation, Eagle Beach is less of a party resort than its neighbour Palm Beach and is a firm favourite among holidaymakers who wish to recharge their batteries with a delicious drink as they watch the sun set over the ocean. However, having said that, those looking for a little more action can visit one of the many clubs and casinos within the area.
City slickers
An excursion to Aruba’s capital, Oranjestad, is a must for the visitor to Eagle Beach. Just 15 minutes away by road, the city is a marvel of stunning culture and architecture, modern shopping, traditional markets and a stunning harbour.
Public transport is cheap and reliable and, visitors can hop onto a tram in order to see the city in style. Within just a few minutes by tram, you can take in the 19th-century Fort Zoutman which incorporates the fascinating Historical Museum of Aruba and, the incredible exhibits of The Archaeological Museum – the mansion it calls home is worth a visit alone
Getting there
Aruba’s Reina Beatrix International Airport is just five miles from Eagle Beach and visitors can take a taxi and be at the resort within just 20 minutes. Reina Beatrix also offers car rental for those who like some independence during their visit.
