Fun is most definitely the name of the game here and whether you’re keen on watersports, shopping or simply chilling out in a cozy bar or taverna, you’ll never get bored. Faliraki beach is so big that it takes over half an hour to walk from one end to the other and it’s the best place to chill out in the sun, play with the kids, or take a dip – plus, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a no-spend day to stick within your cheap Faliraki holiday budget.

There’s a huge variety of both All Inclusive and Self Catering hotels in Faliraki, so you can holiday exactly the way you like.

Beach adventures

For some, the beach is all about laying out under the sun and getting a golden tan – maybe finishing a book or two, but for some that doesn’t quite cut it. Luckily, Faliraki holidays have plenty in store for you as there’s a huge range of activities you can indulge in by the beach. Explore the air above the sea by parasailing, banana flying, or paragliding. If you really are an adrenaline junky, you can hire a Ringo excursion for an exhilarating ride across the waves.

Another way of exploring the sea is to take a boat cruise. Some of the hire companies use historical schooners so you’ll be setting off in style wherever you choose to explore. The area around Faliraki is famous for its pirate caves, secret coves and underwater archaeological treasures. There’s a vast collection of boat trips on offer, whether you like to zoom about and get your heart racing, cruise out to some hidden coves for a BBQ, or enjoy the sunset from the water.

Fun, fun, fun

The Faliraki Waterpark will certainly keep boredom at bay – both adults and kids will have an awesome time on the Turbo and the Space Ball. Try the Kamikaze rides, they are exciting enough to satisfy all who have a daredevil spirit. Admission prices are quite reasonable and you can make good savings if booking for more than one day – plus, the park offers a free shuttle bus from Rhodes Town to the park, so that’s even more savings.

If all the heat is getting a bit much and you’re trying to seek out shade, then head off into town and enjoy the pleasures of the Faliraki’s Sky Bowling Club. Alternatively, mini golf is a fantastic way to laugh and unwind and Faliraki Mini Golf in the centre of town is the place to check out all of this type of action. This can be tons of fun for a family day out, or to do something spontaneous just the two of you.

Retail therapy

Everyone loves a spot of shopping when on holiday and Faliraki does not disappoint. You’ll find plenty of places to feed your retail habit here. Look out for good-quality jewellery and, if you’re in need of a unique memento from your trip, there’s a gold and silver workshop – Mastoras Silver – just outside town, where you’ll be able to buy an individually designed item. This can be perfect for a special gift.

The Faliraki shopping centre is conveniently located in the resort centre and this is a fantastic place to pick up local souvenirs and leather goods. If you want to travel out of resort, Rhodes Town, with its plethora of stylish shops, is easy to get to from Faliraki. Clothes shopping is a dream here – the New Market is the place to visit for upscale and stylish fashion garments. If you’re trying to stick to your cheap Faliraki holiday budget, a little window shopping can’t hurt!

Dance the night away

Many visitors come to Faliraki to dance all night and then chill out on the beach the following day and you’ll soon learn why. The resort has tons of clubs where you can dance until the early hours of the morning. From Focus to DC nightclub – situated along Faliraki’s main strip – you’ll be able to find your favourite music genre and on many occasions there’s special events hosted with famous DJs or for particular important dates.

Some love the clubbing scene, but some still love the night life vibes but in a pub or bar. Again, you’ll find an impressive array of pubs, tavernas and bars here, offering everything from cocktail lounges, to traditional Irish pubs or Greek tavernas.

Most of the nightspots are all clustered in the same area – Bar Street and Club Street – though there are a few bars scattered along the beachfront.

Plenty to eat

Another thing you don’t have to fret about on holiday in Faliraki is what you’ll eat! There’s ax extensive range of bars and eateries serving a plethora of delicious dishes. As well as traditional Greek food, some of the restaurants are devoted to offering more international flavours, so rest assured you can enjoy your home comforts too. Love steak, fish and chips, or even a traditional English breakfast? Head down to the Alabama Bar Diner on Lindos Beach. If you fancy Eastern cuisine, then the Golden Wok can satisfy your needs.

Ah, and then there’s the ice cream – the Pagotomania Gelato Cafe has all tastes covered with its awesome range of flavoured ices and waffles. There’s also a frozen-yoghurt shop that’ll soon cool you down after a day sunning and swimming.
