A guide to nightlife in Skiathos Town
Without a doubt, the best nightlife on the island of Skiathos happens on holidays to Skiathos Town. From glitzy cocktail bars to more casual, family-run tavernas, there’s a nightlife spot to suit your mood. Here, you’ll find everything from nightly live music to Native American decor, gay bars and a neighbourhood pub atmosphere with the footie on TV. With so much to see and do, grabbing a drink will be your second priority.
Party at Phedrock Bar
Consistently-excellent reviews are all you’ll hear about Phedrock Bar, and with good reason. Noteworthy here is the revamped interior, with lots of TV screens should you want to catch a match. The owners here are a lot of fun and there’s a good choice of cocktails to choose from.
Get your juices flowing at Danny and Zoe's Blind Dog
Right in the heart of Skiathos Town, Danny’s and Zoe’s Blind Dog is the place to cut loose and enjoy an unforgettable night – or just say hello to Guy the blind dog. Danny and Zoe take their music seriously and are both very able musicians themselves – even Guy has been known to bark along on occasion.
Brilliant cocktails at Marilyn's Bar
Grab a cocktail or two at Marilyn’s Bar, where it’s happy hour until 9.30 each night, and you can get any of the cocktails half price and a free glass of champagne at the end of play. There’s great music here to top all that off too.
Drift in to Drift In
This place is the cool, relaxed yet swanky bar you’ll be talking about long after your holiday is over. Here you can spend your evening on the balcony toasting your trip while overlooking the harbour, or meet friendly co-owner Holly and some of the other revellers. A willingness to make whichever cocktail you want, along with the amazing atmosphere and music picks, truly sets Drift In a class of its own.
Live music at Totem Bar
If its live music you’re after on holidays to Greece, Totem Bar should be first on your list of bars to visit due to the fact it has a live act performing every night. Totem features a nifty Native American-themed decor and arguably the liveliest atmosphere in the town. Certainly worth a try if you’re after a more engaging drinking experience.
Waterside at Suga Cafe Bar
Want to drink or take in the scenes by the harbour? Then Suga Cafe Bar is your choice. The place has a good choice of cocktails at decent prices, especially surprising considering the smattering of impressive yachts lining the waters edge.
Stay cool at Stay Cool Cocktail Bar
Boasting possibly some of the nicest cocktails in the town is Stay Cool Cocktail Bar. Here the happy hour extends from 5pm to 9pm which means there’s no rush to make the most of your money. Knowledgeable staff serve great mojitos, pina coladas and caipirinhas here.
Rock and Roll Bar is a laid-back, relaxed sort of drinking den. Great music plays – invariably rock, but also other genres – while you get to sip down whichever cocktail or drink you go for. Happy hour is between 7pm and 9pm, and it has a fairly open-plan, and laid-back seating arrangement.

Open to all at De Facto Bar Skiathos
De Facto Bar Skiathos is the town’s only established gay bar – it is small and smart, with a retro Hollywood style. The cocktail list is strong and there’s a good mix of British and Greek music, with happy hour running until 10pm. Getting here is made simple by the rainbow arrows that lead the way from the main street.
Go fish at Gin Fish Bar
Gin Fish Bar is a thriving bar by the water’s edge. There’s a wonderful atmosphere here, mostly because it’s almost unfailingly packed out with punters. It’s lit in a super cool, contemporary way, and you could describe the general layout and design of the bar using similar terms. You can grab a bite of seafood here, as well as sip wonderful cocktails.
