Holidays to this hotel start from only
A fabulous mix of traditional and contemporary architecture, the Hotel Diana Palace is a relatively small hotel that welcomes holidaymakers to central Argassi and puts luxury firmly on the menu. Two pools, a large restaurant, and weekly barbecue nights ensure that on-site amenities are of the highest standards, and with fresh bedrooms to retire to, you’re left wanting for nothing. The location of the Hotel Diana Palace contributes to its special nature in that it’s just minutes from the beach, moments from the centre of the resort, and a short distance to Zante Town – yet somehow, it remains blissfully quiet.
Holidays to Zante, or ‘The Flower of the East’ as it’s known, are always dynamic and different, thanks to the array of different regions and little villages that make up the Greek island. At the base of Mount Skopos lies Argassi, Zante’s capital and the most alluring seaside resort, that enjoys an east-coast location, amazing landscapes and undeniable charm. Perfect for both relaxing beach holidays and more cultural visits, this lovely town brings the best parts of Zante together, in one easy-to-navigate spot that is impossible to resist.
Staying active in Argassi is pretty simple, as Mount Skopos is the perfect hiking spot. Climb to the top and you’ll find the breathtaking Church of the Virgin Mary of Skoptiossa. The climb will take around two hours, but the experience and views alone make it worthwhile. Argassi Beach is a fantastic combination of soft sand and smooth pebbles, with plenty of loungers ready and waiting. The warm water is shallow and calm, making it ideal for swimming, and a little further out you can try your hand at jet-skiing and paragliding. Bars line the beachfront for easy access to refreshments, too. Zante Town is so close that it would be rude not to take time to visit. You can choose between buses, taxis and a scenic train, but once you’re there, you need to get moving, to pack everything in. Shops and markets are plentiful, and there are interesting museums to take in as well. And don’t forget to stop for some of the fresh seafood!
Built at the foot of Mount Skopos, a 10-minute drive to the island's capital, Argassi is a beautiful seaside town surrounded by pine-clad countryside and wild flowers. Located on the east coast of Zante, the narrow shingle beach offers great views of the Ionian sea and you'll find the perfect balance between relaxation, local culture and adventurous days out on holidays to Greece in this idyllic location.
