Zante Last Minute Holidays
Last minute holidays to Zante are always stress-free and beach-heavy
With flights to Zante taking around three and a half hours, your last minute holiday is just on the horizon.
Nicknamed ‘The Flower of the East’, Zante is one of Greece’s most picturesque islands, carved with limestone cliffs and dazzling beaches that look good in any light, any time of year. Couple this with Zante’s abundance of holiday activities that require little to no forward-planning – we’re talking watersports, boat cruises to world famous Navagio Beach and a busy nightlife centre – and you’ve got yourself a destination that was practically made for holidays on the fly.
One of the island’s busiest resorts is Laganas, Zante’s designated nightlife hub. Not only will you find the neon-lit bars and clubs along the Golden Mile, but the lively Laganas Beach, whose water and neighbouring shores are a hotspot for nesting loggerhead turtles. Argassi is a Renaissance town, combining watersports, hikes to Mount Skopos and traditional Venetian architecture to create a resort that’s both busy and rife with old world charm.
Quieter spots like Tsilivi exude family-friendly vibes with its Blue Flag beach and waterpark.

The traditional tourist season for Zante runs from May to October – that’s when you’ll find restaurants, hotels and activities open consistently. Outside of these months, your options are more limited, but with still-warm temperatures, the island is by no means closed for business.
To get the best last minute deals, you should look to book no earlier than eight weeks in advance, which will get you hitting the web around March or April for holidays in June, July and August, which are Zante’s most popular months. Temperatures start to cool off in September and October, so if you’re up for Zante when it’s still buzzing but the heat has edged off, check prices in July and August.
