Dance the night away at Havana
Slap bang in the heart of Malta’s clubland district of Paceville, Havana is the area’s largest and busiest venue. It offers six neon-lit bars and two dancefloors with multicoloured disco lights, playing a mix of R&B, hip hop and soul music. Upstairs you’ll find a spacious outside terrace where you can enjoy your drinks with views of the bustling street below.
Within the main club are two additional music rooms at the weekends. Flashback is the venue’s retro offering, pumping out hits from the 70s, 80s and early 90s. While Cabanas on the ground floor enjoys disco vibes with techno and hanging mirrored disco balls.
Fancy cocktails at Hugo's Terrace
Although relatively new to the scene, Hugo’s terrace has quickly emerged as one of Malta’s swankiest and most vibrant venues for the chic and trendy. Located directly opposite the golden sands of St George’s Bay, the rooftop terrace offers exquisite views of the surrounding skyline and you’ll find luxurious seating and mouth-watering contemporary cocktails across two fully stocked bars.

Don't forget the password at The Thirsty Barber
This quirky little bar is Malta’s first ever speakeasy bar, not so secretly located on Ball Street in St Julian’s. Based on the hidden bars of the 1920s, when alcohol was prohibited, once you find the entrance you’ll be greeted with bespoke prohibition-era cocktails, charming decoration and an experienced team of mixologists.
To gain access, head to the bar’s website and make a reservation, where you’ll be given the password for entry so they can be sure you’re not a secret agent.
