Of course, Benidorm is the best place to really let off some steam and you can do just that with everything from foam parties, outdoor and indoor pool parties to dance gardens and rock shows, cabaret and karaoke. So whether you fancy a swift pint in an Irish bar or dancing until sunrise in one of the Ibiza style clubs – El Divino or Space for example – Benidorm nightlife really is something to experience.
Some nights you’ll just want to chill out though, and while there’s a little bit of everything in Benidorm, it’s the smaller resorts in Costa Blanca where you can get that laid back vibe. In Moraira there are flamenco guitarists to listen to on Plaza de la Iglesia or you could try Denia’s chilled out bars and jazz joints on Calle La Mar.

A little further out of town are Terra Mitica Park and the pirate-themed Iberia Park, which again can be booked together to save pennies. Terra Natura wildlife park and its neighbouring water park are also in this area, but all are easily accessed by regular buses which will take you there directly.

Other places of interest around the area are the city of Alicante, with its hilltop castle and chic boutiques, and Valencia, which has ultra-modern architecture and an oceanographic aquarium. Hit the shops
Costa Blanca is certainly not short of shops – it’s not really short of anything! Benidorm and Alicante are where you’ll find the most designer boutiques. Although, Denia’s tree-lined Carrer Marques de Campo also has a good selection, alongside popular high street names such as Mango and Zara. There are malls brimming with all sorts of shops, including Benidorm’s three-floor La Marina centre, which is definitely worth a visit, even if you’re just window shopping.
If you’re looking to hunt out a bargain and get a feel for local life, make sure you head to one of the markets that are hosted weekly. Moraira’s Friday morning street market is one of the biggest in the area and sells all types of food, clothing, soft furnishings and household goods for you to take back home.
Another option is to visit one of Benidorm’s three markets, either on the weekend or a Wednesday. One of which is is a flea market, one more for clothes and gifts, and the third, selling local fruit and vegetables, crafts and other authentic Spanish products.
