A guide to nightlife in Torremolinos
Torremolinos is a place where holidaymakers can really have fun – and its nightlife reflects this. When the sun goes down, it’s time to dance the night away in this resort town. Fantastic clubs and bars are on offer, and there are more places to party than you could ever hope to visit in one trip. For those who prefer a quieter night, there’s always the option of a good meal and a stroll along the promenade, and if you don’t feel like going far, holiday resorts in Costa del Sol will have their own bar. Here are our top choices for some night time fun.
Come for cabaret at The Palladium
One of the most popular venues around, the Palladium opens its doors at 3am and closes at 9am. Situated on the Calle Mallorca, this energetic club has a swimming pool, lasers and an incredible lighting system. One to go to if you really want to dance, it has three floors of pumping music. During the summer months you’ll find cabaret acts and live shows to make things even more entertaining.
Quaint and quirky Pipers
For something a little more quirky, head to this disco after the sun has set. Filled with strange decorations, like the small plane hanging from the ceiling, it has some of the best live acts on the coast.
Dress to impress for Fun Beach
Also found on the Calle Mallorca, this nightclub urges club goers to dress as crazily as possible. The staff all wear swimwear as this venue has a swimming pool as well! If you have a late deal to Costa del Sol and don’t have time to put together a costume, don’t worry – your bikini will do just fine! The crowd is mostly young and you can party here until 7am.
Airs of intrigue at The Chamber of Secrets
If you’re looking for family entertainment instead of a nightclub, then you can’t miss The Chamber of Secrets. It’s a small venue where you’ll be entertained from the moment you set foot inside. The must-see performance is a blend of magic, comedy and song. Drinks are included in the price of entry and we recommend booking as it is very, very popular.
Loud and lively at Voltage
If you love techno dance music you’ll be in clubbing heaven here. As you may have guessed from the name, ear-splitting techno rhythms blast throughout the venue. The light and sound system is spectacular and you can stay partying here until at least 6am.
Truly traditional Taberna Pepe Lopez
For some real Spanish dancing, Taberna Pepe López will provide you with a traditional flamenco show. Visitors come from all over Europe and everyone is dressed very colourfully, dancing in time to the strumming of guitars. The passion for the dance here is easy to see – it’s a great option for those not into the clubbing scene.
Nothing feline about El Gato
The most exclusive gay club in Torremolinos, both the cocktails and the food here are outstanding. It offers barbecues in the summer, with mouth-watering grills to enjoy alongside the music. It’s close to most of the other gay bars in La Nogalera, so it’s a great spot for a relaxing drink in a central location.
You’ll find Eugenio’s in La Nogalera. Partiers of all ages come here to enjoy the Greek style décor and private rooms. It’s a spacious club with live acts and cabarets – and if you visit during the summer months the large terrace will be open to the public. If you’re trying to watch your spending, this is a great choice as there are always special offers and promotions, such as Discount Friday.
