If you fancy taking in some culture, the ghost village of Kayakoy, which was abandoned in a population exchange with Greece, is just a 10-minute bus ride from the St. Nicholas Park Hotel. Meanwhile, in town, bars and clubs keep the party going well into the night, and many of the restaurants on the main street cater for the British holidaymaker looking for some home comforts. For a full-on street bash, there’s the Hisaronu Carnival, part of Olu Deniz’s cultural festival, complete with floats, pop singers and folk dancers. Whatever you’re looking for, you’ll find this gorgeous part of Turkey has plenty to offer. There’s culture, jaw-dropping natural landscapes, great beaches, and epic nightlife.
