A little further out of town are Terra Mitica Park and the pirate-themed Iberia Park, which again can be booked together to save pennies. Terra Natura wildlife park and its neighbouring water park are also in this area, but all are easily accessed by regular buses which will take you there directly.

Hit the shops
Costa Blanca is certainly not short of shops – it’s not really short of anything! Benidorm and Alicante are where you’ll find the most designer boutiques. Although, Denia’s tree-lined Carrer Marques de Campo also has a good selection, alongside popular high street names such as Mango and Zara. There are malls brimming with all sorts of shops, including Benidorm’s three-floor La Marina centre, which is definitely worth a visit, even if you’re just window shopping.
If you’re looking to hunt out a bargain and get a feel for local life, make sure you head to one of the markets that are hosted weekly. Moraira’s Friday morning street market is one of the biggest in the area and sells all types of food, clothing, soft furnishings and household goods for you to take back home.
Another option is to visit one of Benidorm’s three markets, either on the weekend or a Wednesday. One of which is is a flea market, one more for clothes and gifts, and the third, selling local fruit and vegetables, crafts and other authentic Spanish products.
