Over in the Larnaca region resorts vary from the party town of Ayia Napa to family-friendly spots like Nissi Beach. Inland there’s stunning countryside to explore on hikes and walks. For a dash of authentic Cypriot charm, the town of Protaras is hard to beat with a great beach and numerous international restaurants alongside traditional Greek tavernas. Nightlife is low key and revolves about a selection of bars and pubs.

The best time of year to book your last minute holiday

With temperatures around 17°C in February rising to 27°C in August, holidays to Cyprus are possible throughout the year depending on how hot you like it. Summer is the time for beach holidays but with a mild climate through much of October, and even in the winter months, sightseeing, hiking and cycling is on the agenda throughout the seasons.
