Known across the globe for its unparalleled club and music scene, party season returns to Ibiza this summer bigger and badder than ever. With opening parties kicking off as early as pool-party legends Ocean Beach on 29th of April, and events powering on relentlessly until the last of the closing parties on Hallowe’en, you’ve got plenty of time this year to get stuck in to the all-day, all-night action that Ibiza has to offer.
Whether you prefer to party on the water, rave until sunrise or just chill out on the beach with a cocktail and some world-class music, Ibiza has you covered. Not sure where to spend your time? We’ve picked out the very best of Ibiza’s unmissable action just for you.
Pre-party hotspots
Savannah, Sunset Strip, San Antonio
Whether you’re here for the tapas, the gin & cocktail club or to catch huge acts in the intimate 150-capacity Back Room venue, you’re bound to have an amazing time kicking the night off with Savannah’s unbeatable sunset views.
Café del Mar, Sunset Strip, San Antonio
Arguably as famous as the resort itself, Café del Mar has built a name for itself over decades of Balearic beats as the place to go for ambient, chill-out tunes as the sun goes down.
Café Mambo, Sunset Strip, San Antonio
Open all day from breakfast, another popular destination for sunset-worshippers is Café Mambo, home to Champagne Sangria and an array of resident DJs who’ll ease you into the night in style.
Tantra Ibiza, Playa d’en Bossa
Hosting official pre-parties for bigger clubs like Pacha and Sankey’s, Tantra serve up amazing cocktails and summer anthems all day and night, from the beginning of the antics right up until 6am.

Bar 1805, Ibiza Town
Come here for great food and bohemian vibes, with absinthe cocktails and electro-swing music giving you something a little different from the other pre-party spots.
The Super Clubs
Pacha, Ibiza Town
Spanning five rooms and a variety of music from funk to 80s to hip-hop, Pacha is best known for its high quality house music and fresh roof terrace vibes. Don’t miss David Morales and Louie Vega here, at Kings of House on 19th May.
Amnesia, San Antonio
Covering everything from trance to grime and dancefloor anthems, Amnesia returns this year with Together Tuesdays – which sees favourites such as Sub Focus and Wilkinson join resident DJs Rudimental, Chase and Status, Hannah Wants and Gorgon City. Cream Thursdays and Paris Hilton’s ‘Foam and Diamonds’ also look set to impress.
Space, Playa D’en Bossa
Boasting more awards than any other club on the planet, Space is heading into the last year of its current ownership, making this your last chance to catch one of Carl Cox’s Music Is Revolution Parties. Carl Cox ‘The Final Chapter’ runs at Space from 15th June to 20th September and sees international heavyweights like Eats Everything and Julio Bashmore come out to play.
Eden, San Antonio Bay
A goliath of the club scene, Eden brings back the UV carnival that is Judgement with Judge Jules for its 16th season this year. Playing the very best in house, progressive, electro and trance, line-up announcements for this one are sure to be phenomenal.
Privilege, San Rafael
Quite literally the biggest club in the world, with capacity to hold 10,000 people during its midnight to midday opening hours, Privilege is home to three huge rooms that regularly span genres from hypnotic house to chart-topping EDM classics.
Underground Parties
DC-10, Ibiza Airport
Literally located in an aircraft hangar at one end of the runway, DC-10 may not be the most glamorous of Ibiza’s club venues, but it just might be one of the wildest. Home to the much-loved madness of Circoloco, Paradise and Life and Death, come here for underground techno and extravagant outfits.
Sankey’s, Playa D’en Bossa
Marketed as ‘no frills, proper basement clubbing’, Sankey’s is quickly becoming the underground club of choice on the island. ‘We Love’ host Wednesday nights here this summer, and with acts like Kidnap Kid and Eton Messy coming out to play, it would be wrong to miss this venue off your list.
Best of the Boat Parties
If you’re in the mood for some daytime drinking, make the most of your surroundings by hopping aboard a luxury cruiser and starting the party at sea. There are a whole host of options as far as buoyant drinking and dancing are concerned, but with long-time favourites Pacha sending out the stunning Pacha 67 sailboat every Wednesday and Thursday, and OceanBeat setting off at noon three days a week throughout the summer, you’ll never find yourself struggling for a good time.
If you prefer to start a little later in the day then have no fear, Cream operate sunset Float Your Boat parties every Tuesday, and the ever-popular Lost In Ibiza set sail on Wednesday evenings – after an optional afternoon of debauchery kicks the festivities off.
The Outdoor Parties
Ushuaia, Playa d’en Bossa
Eager to please with VIP service and live shows from more of the world’s bigget DJs, this poolside venue really hits the spot. This summer sees regular sets from Armin Van Buuren and David Guetta, as well as radio-favourites Aviici and Martin Garrix.
BeacHouse, Playa d’en Bossa
Serving up locally-sourced Mediterranean cuisine throughout the day, BeacHouse also host members-only beach parties on Sunday nights this summer.
Destino, Santa Eulalia del Rio
Aside from being a luxury hotel with high-end restaurant and wellness facilities, Destino is also home to an incredible outdoor venue that hosts poolside parties late into the night. Owned by Ibiza veterans Pacha, soon-to-be-announced line-ups here are sure to impress.

Blue Marlin, Cara Jondal Beach
A good venue for celebrity-spotting, Blue Marlin Ibiza is a decadent beachside venue serving up cocktails and caviar alongside music from the DJ Tom Crane and a variety of pop-up nights.
Bora Bora Beach Club, Playa d’en Bossa
Boasting free entry all night long, Bora-Bora has a relaxed vibe with people dancing on every available surface as the sun goes down. Set right on the sand in Playa d’en Bossa, come here for underground music in an outdoor setting- and don’t miss the chance to see a Sunday night in here, with people coming from across the island to party here before heading on to Space.
Winding Down
Once you’ve made it through ‘til sunrise, fuelled by electro beats and champagne cocktails, where better to spend the day recuperating than one of Ibiza’s white sand beaches.
Hippy favourite Benirras beach on the north-west coast of the island, and busier Salinas beach in the south, tick all the relevant boxes – clear waters, clean sand and Instagram views galore – and Amante Beach Club on Sol Den Serra can soothe the morning-after aches with activities from breakfast yoga to evening cinema – or just a comfortable beach chair and a decent meal.
The Closing Parties
Closing parties get started around mid-September, and this year Sankey’s are marching determinedly on right through until Hallowe’en – although it’s worth noting that most of the action will be over by the first week of October, when heavyweights Pacha and Amnesia smash out their final showdowns for the year. The Ocean Beach closing party on 30th September marks the end of the outdoor parties for 2016, but with fellow outdoor legends Ushuaia hosting their closer – underground night ‘Ants’ – 24th September, you’re spoiled for choice right to the end.
The final weeks of Ibiza summer are when resort staff from every venue on the island really let their hair down and join in in the madness, which means even more intense partying than usual and a fresh burst of energy into the end-of-season atmosphere. With almost six months of 24/7 party possibilities this year, whenever you head to Ibiza this summer it’s going to be impossible to miss out.
