With so many diverse islands, Greece certainly doesn’t blend into the background when it comes to partying. And with over 3,000 islands to choose from there’s plenty of shindig-loving islands to sample.
So, whatever your partying preference whether you’re into sophisticated cocktails accompanied by a beachside setting, booze heavy bars crawls or dancing the night away in clubs that stay open until the daylight hours, here’s why Greece should be topping your party list year after year.
Laganas, Zante
Get ready to wave goodbye to your sleep because you’re about to holiday in Laganas, one of Greece’s biggest party resorts. As the clubbing mecca of Zante with over 100 bars you can expect all kinds of parties, including school-style discos, foam festivities, silent raves, and a full moon party – yes Zante has it’s very own full moon party which takes place on a Friday at Cherry Bay Beach Club.
And as one of the cheapest spots on the Greek island there are plenty of drinks promotions to take advantage of, so you may be surprised when you end the night with a full wallet.
Mykonos, Mykonos Town
Mykonos has a range of partying experiences whether you’re looking for something chic or exciting. Get lost inside this maze of narrow streets as you stumble across beach bars, trendy hangouts, and a yacht club, which is the perfect end to any night.
Most of Mykonos’s nightlife is centred around Chora, which is the heart of the resort and offers a buzzing atmosphere each night. But the best part is Mykonos nightlife doesn’t single anyone out and attracts every kind of partier from the rich and famous to the young and single, and the mature and cultured.
Malia, Crete
With hundreds of bars to sample you probably won’t find time to unpack, that’s right the party begins from the minute you step foot onto Malia’s warm soil. Once the sun goes down the streets fill with enthusiastic promoters desperately bidding for your attention as they tell you all about their club, young revellers taking to the strip for the first time, and loud stags dressed in outlandish outfits, yes this is a standard night on a Malia clubbing holiday.
And sunset in this resort only means one thing, the night is still young and you have a full night of partying in Candy Club ahead of you.
Kardamena, Kos
As one of the lesser-known partying spots in Greece, this is the perfect opportunity to try somewhere new before the rest of the partying population cottons on. Not sure where to head in Kardamena? Then fear not as we’re going to give you the low down.
Bar Street is the place to be with its English pubs, late-closing clubs, and cheap drinks all accompanied by a lively atmosphere. For an all Kos holiday party experience we suggest you hit Jam Bar for a cocktail or two followed by Downtown Club, for some all-night dancing – especially with its old school playlist. So, whatever it is that takes your fancy, Kardamena will leave you wanting more.
Kavos, Corfu
This is ideal for anyone entering the club 18-30 world as it’s one of the smaller Greek party resorts. But its size doesn’t make a difference and the resort certainly packs a lot in with its long strip lined with over 80 bars and clubs.
As the liveliest place in Corfu there’s no end to the fun you can have in this bustling resort, head over to Bonkers Bar where you’ll be thoroughly entertained by the resident DJ before moving onto Kavos’s crazy clubs. Atlantis is a great option, this open-air club venue is situated on the beach and is the best sunrise partying spot to round off a party holiday to Kavos.
