On our last holiday, we went to Coral Bay, a resort just north of Paphos in Cyprus. We had a wonderfully relaxing holiday and the weather was red hot all week! It’s probably useful to mention that the transfer time from the airport was quite bearable – less than an hour.
Coral Bay’s beach was fantastic and proudly shows off an award for its cleanliness. The long, sandy bay has a headland at both ends and has a range of water sports to try. There is also a nesting spot for turtles close by at Cape Lara. There are some superb dive sites around Coral Bay and you don’t have to have dived before as there are dives for every level, from beginner to expert. If you venture below the waves, there are so many things to explore, including some really good ship wrecks.
A couple of days we headed inland, once to Latchi and also to Peyia Both are beautiful traditional mountain villages where you get a really warm welcome. We really enjoyed just sitting with a drink while taking in the breathtaking views.
The nightlife in Coral Bay is fairly lively, but after a couple of nights here, we headed into Paphos to sample somewhere new. We thoroughly enjoyed our holidays here. If you want a fantastic beach holiday in a not too lively resort then we would certainly recommend Coral Bay.
