What’s the fuss about?
Magical Walt Disney World in the Sunshine state of Florida, it’s every kids dream and even most adults too! Disney World Orlando boasts some of the world best thrill seeking rides and gorgeous themed hotels. Disney is set over a staggering 42 square mile area. Orlando is huge and has numerous attractions to keep any family busy throughout the holiday. Our top tip is to draw up a plan before you travel to make sure you fit everything in and that your days run smoothly. The best time of year to visit the Sunshine state is April, with an average temperature of 28 degrees C and it’s the month with the least rain, you’ll be sure to tick everything off your jam packed schedule.
Theme parks
Where’s all the fun at? Magic Kingdom – whether it’s Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain or any other mountain, I’m pretty sure you’ll find a magical attraction here. A Magic Kingdom must do is the spectacular night time musical firework display.
Animal Kingdom is the second largest theme park in the world behind Six Flags in New Jersey. The park is represented by The Tree of Life which is a 44m by 15m wide artificial tree. The toddlers might want to soar sky high on Dumbo the Flying Elephant whereas the big kids may want to plunge deep on the Kali River Rapids, you will get wet – really wet!
Lights camera action it’s all going down in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Strut down the red carpet into the movie world from thrill seeking attractions to live spectacular backstage action. For the toddlers check out Toy Story Mania and for the cool kids, ride The Twilight Zone of Terror.
Disney does not shy away when it comes to high tech fun at Epcot you can visit 11 countries in one day. Epcot offers 30 brilliant attractions such as The Seas with Nemo and Friends, Mission: Space and Test Track.
Water parks
Does snorkelling with shark’s sound fun? At Typhoon Lagoon this is included in the price if you dare, don’t worry though they are vegetarian sharks alternatively ride the waves in Northern America’s largest wave pool!
Blizzard Beach is another fabulous waterpark by Disney with their top ride standing 120 feet in the air on “Summit Plummet” you’ll reach thrilling speeds of 55 mph.
