A dreamy new destination
Say hello to Senegal! This wonderful west-African country is a hidden gem just waiting to be explored. There’s no shortage of amazing things to see and do here – with six national parks up its sleeve and an abundance of street markets and museums, Senegal is a cultural haven ready and waiting to be ticked off your bucket list.
Senegal may be lesser known than some of your other typical winter hotspots – but that’s all the more reason to branch out and explore this exciting destination. It’s cheaper and hotter than the likes of Egypt, Cape Verde and the Canaries for some winter sun – so we think we’re onto a winner! With average winter temperatures touching the 30s, you’ll need to remember to pack that sun cream!
Not forgetting… The Gambia
The Gambia is another alternative option if you’re wanting to stray from your usual winter destinations. Although this country may be small (we’re not joking – it’s smaller than Yorkshire!) it certainly doesn’t compromise on amazing sights and experiences.
We’re talking about beautiful beaches, magical markets, and an abundance of amazing wildlife. Think swaying palm trees and spectacular scenic lagoon views. You’ve got the choice of flights out of Manchester and London Gatwick – and with daily averages of 30 degrees Celsius, it’s perfect for a sun-kissed getaway.
New hotels
RIU Biobab, Senegal
As of Winter 2022, the brand new All Inclusive RIU Biobab in Senegal will be opening its doors! Offering 24-hour All Inclusive, four outdoor pools, a children’s pool and even waterslides, this hot new accommodation is set to be a popular choice.
Take your pick of four restaurants – the main buffet, Asian, Italian, and Grill, and order your favourite tipple from one of five bars. It’s fair to say you’ll never be hungry or thirsty here! Don’t overdo it though, as you’ll want to make your way to the Vision nightclub after sunset, where you can dance the night away to your favourite tunes.
This Platinum hotel is set to be the perfect place to stay if you’re venturing to Senegal next winter – located in Pointe Sarene, it’s perfectly situated to explore the local area as well as being within easy reach of the capital, Dakar.
TUI Sensatori Biomar (formally Protur Biomar Gran Hotel Spa)
The newest hotel to join the five-star collection, this hotel couldn’t be a better fit – think sumptuous swim-up rooms, themed restaurants and five amazing pools. If you’re looking for a getaway a little closer to home, this hotel is located in a chilled-out spot just on the outskirts of Sa Coma in Majorca, and is set to become a Balearic Island favourite.
If you’ve stayed at a TUI Sensatori before you’ll know to expect luxury upon arrival – at this one you’ve got the choice of seven restaurants, a spectacular spa, and a fabulous array of entertainment by a professional team.
Adults will even have their own zone to retreat to, featuring a restaurant, pool and bar. Families are made to feel special too, with children having fun at the PlayHouse, splashing around the pool and enjoying feasts at the buffet restaurant, which has been created with them in mind.

Another Balearic island beauty for you to enjoy is the TUI BLUE Tarida Beach in Ibiza, opening up in Summer 2022! Formally a Sensatori hotel, you can still expect to see plenty of stylish surroundings, with more facilities than you can count on two hands!
We’re talking about a game-filled kids’ club, a playground, slides and a splash pool. The activity offerings are just as good too, with tennis, football and archery being some of the top picks. You’ll never be short on things to do here!
If lazing on the beach is more your style then TUI BLUE Tarida’s by-the-coast location is simply perfect. There’s plenty of sand for you to stretch out on, with views of the Mediterranean sea glistening in the distance.
More flights
Great news for all you Egypt lovers – more flights have been added to Hurgada for Winter 22, as well as extra flights to sunny Sharm el Sheik!
A wonderful place for some winter sun – with temperatures still in their mid twenties even in December – experience the charm of Sharm on next year’s winter getaway. You’ll forget all about the cold, wintery weather back home!
