Fun-filled Days
Taking the kids away on holiday should have you making memories like never before. That means seeing beaming smiles in the sunshine, doing things they could only dream of at home. That’s where Holiday Villages come in, with their action-packed adventures day-in, day-out!
You’ll feel so proud watching your young ones getting all geared up with their harness and helmet and taking on an aerial adventure – all Holiday Villages have a high ropes course for adrenaline-pumping fun!
Everyone loves a game of aeroball too – a kind of cross between basketball and trampolining! There’s plenty of fun to be had on the water too, including a water wipeout course made up of wacky water inflatables, where you’ll race to the other side resulting in an almighty splash!
If little ones want fun on the water without getting wet then they’re sure to love the water walkers. These huge inflatable orbs can be used by those 5 years and older, and will have them floating and rolling around on top of the pool surface in a giant ball. You’ll probably want a go, too!
And we can’t forget about Holiday Villages’ legendary ‘Party in the Pool!’ These daily mini parties get the tunes blasting poolside, where everyone is encouraged to get in the water to show off their best dance moves to a few chart-topping tracks. Inflatables are more than encouraged – they’ll probably win you brownie points!
If you’ve shown off your best shapes then you could be crowned King or Queen of the pool – a prestigious daily title that children (and adults!) battle it out for. You’ll even get a certificate and crown as a sign of your triumph!
Of course, all these activities aside, Holiday Village facilities are laid out so you can make your own holiday memories too – with pretty pools for a swim, green grounds perfect for sunny walks, and they’re often on or near a beach, so you can head on down to the sea whenever you like too.
Evening Entertainment For All
If you thought the days were full of fun, then you’re going to love nights too!
There’s a real family focus for a portion of the evening, with the main event being the ‘Live & Loud’ show – a Saturday-morning TV-style game show that gets all the family involved in party games, dances, and competitions!
With catchy songs to rope you in, it won’t just be the kids singing along – these songs will be stuck in your head long after you’re home!
First Choice mascots Gizmo, Doobley and Whatsit often make a surprise visit, also known as The Widgets. Little ones will love seeing these bright characters on stage!
After plenty of family laughs, the night turns back to more adult entertainment, with nightly live shows that knock out everything from boyband performances to pantomimes. There’s also 80s throwbacks, pop concerts, and interactive shows!
You’ll usually find other, low-key entertainment on an evening too, like quizzes and local singers, if you’re wanting to just sit back with a cocktail after an action-packed day.
Captivating Clubs
Making sure kids are well cared for is one of the main draws with a Holiday Village holiday, and that’s where the HV Clubs come in.
The HV Creche caters to tiny ones aged 0 to 35 months, and focusses on things like creative sessions, puppetry, and sensory play.
HV Club also has separate sessions for 3 to 5-year-olds, and 6 to 8-year-olds. They’ll have a wail of a time joining in with pirate-themed play and taking on mini-fencing.
HV Crew is for those a little older, both 9 to 11-year-olds and 12 to 15-year-olds. They’ll be able to get stuck into sporty games poolside, or simply hang out with their new-found holiday friends in the shade.
HV Clubs are run to UK standards, so you can have absolute peace of mind knowing staff have advanced DBS security checks and First Aid training, as well as big personalities that help bring their holiday to life. Your little ones are in good hands!
Amazing Academies
As if all that wasn’t enough, Holiday Villages also boast their own brilliant academies to take your kids’ holiday to a whole new level!
Aspiring Ronaldo’s can enroll in the Football Academy, suitable for all ages between 4 to 16. They’ll be put through their paces by FA or UEFA-qualified coaches – so by the end of their holiday their footie skills should be on point! The academies do come at an extra charge, with a 2-day course starting at £33.
If you’d love to see your little ones come on leaps and bounds with their swimming skills whilst on holiday, then it’s a no-brainer to sign them up for the Swim Academy. These classes, for those aged 3 and over, are led by ASA-qualified teachers, and will have your kids feeling confident in the water in no time. £33 gets you five 30-minute group sessions – well worth it.
If any of your children already love the lime-light, or perhaps would love to come out their shell even more, then the Stage Academy is just what you need. These workshops are ran by a top UK entertainment company, and will bring out the best in your future popstars in just a couple sessions. They’re available for those aged 4 to 16, at the price of £39 for a trio of 2-hour slots.
And finally there’s the Rookie Lifeguard Academy, for any aspiring lifeguards out there. Qualified instructors teach those aged 8 to 16 those super important lifesaving skills, helping them to keep themselves and others safe in the water. Five 30-minute sessions cost £33.
All the above academies are of course optional, but they’re certainly an amazing way to enhance your child’s holiday even further – picking up skills and having fun at the same time!
Not forgetting about you
Of course there’s plenty going on for the kids at Holiday Villages, but there’s still a lot that caters to adults, too. There’s at least two a la carte restaurants at every Holiday Village, with many of them being themed – think Italian, Mexican, Chinese. So date nights are definitely still on the cards here.
There’s also always a great choice of bars within your hotel, with some serving up the likes of comedy and cabaret nights. There’s a few Holiday Villages that actually have a few adult-only bars, too.
And when the kids are in their clubs, having the time of their lives, why not capitalise on a little ‘you’ time? Lots of Holiday Villages have superb spa facilities, with all kinds of treatments on offer from massages to facials. So feel free to treat yourself to some pamper time and let off some steam in the sauna and steam room, with a dip in the whirlpool!
