It has a typical Mediterranean climate and though August tends to be the hottest month, you can experience warm temperatures throughout the year. In the time it takes to run a marathon (if you’re Mo Farah!) you can be whisked away to this beautiful Balearic island.

Portugal (average high 28°C)
Coming in third place based on temperature is Portugal! Depending on which airport you choose, you can fly to Portugal in between two and a half to three hours. But if you think this may be too long to keep your kids entertained for, then here’s our top tips! Download Netflix to your device before flying and choose their favourite shows and movies. Download them directly to your device. When aboard the aircraft, switch to airplane mode. When it is safe to do so, plug in your headphones…happy viewing!
Costa Blanca (average high 26°C)
Clocking in at around two and a half hours, flying to Costa Blanca couldn’t be easier! With plenty of flight options to Alicante Airport, you will be there before you know it. But how long really is two and a half hours? Think The Dark Night, The Lord of The Rings or The Godfather. In the time it takes to watch one of those, you will be transported to the sunny shores of Costa Blanca!
