We all love a holiday, and by planning your annual leave smartly, you can maximise your time off without using up too many days! Here’s how you can make the most of your annual leave in 2025 by strategically booking around bank holidays.
When to book your holidays in 2025
Easter Break – 16 Days Off Using 8 Days of Leave
Book off 14-17 April and 22-25 April. With bank holidays and weekends, you’ll be off from 12 to 27 April.
That’s plenty of time to munch all those Easter eggs!
Early May Bank Holiday – 9 Days Off Using 4 Days of Leave
Fancy some extra sunshine as the summer starts to approach?
Take off 6-9 May, and with weekends and the bank holiday, you’ll enjoy 3 to 11 May off.
Spring Bank Holiday – 9 Days Off Using 4 Days of Leave
Book 27-30 May, and with weekends and the bank holiday, you’ll be off from 24 May to 1 June.
By the end of May, you’ll be relaxing in the garden with a good book or enjoying the hustle and bustle of a beer garden!
Summer Bank Holiday – 9 Days Off Using 4 Days of Leave
Not ready to say goodbye to those care-free summer days? Not to worry, we’ve got the perfect solution!
Take off 26-29 August, and enjoy a break from 23 to 31 August.
Christmas & New Year – 12 Days Off Using 5 Days of Leave
Who doesn’t love an extra long Christmas break? Make the most of the festive season with your family and friends by utilising 5 days of annual leave that results in a whopping 12 days off!
Cram as much in between Christmas and New year (or simply chill on the couch with a festive film and a glass of Baileys!) by booking off 29-31 December and 2-3 January 2026 for a long festive break from 25 December to 5 January.
