And before you say “it’ll still be too expensive to get there”, I’ve checked out a couple of train times and you can travel directly from London Kings Cross to Edinburgh Station. Fares can be found for just over £300 with redspottedhanky.com, and will be even cheaper (around £174) if you purchase a family rail card (approx £28). If you fancy an overnight stay, this will be around £140 for the whole family. You can also catch a flight with a low cost airline from Luton and still end up saving over £1000, so what are you waiting for???
