Best beaches
On top of having some of the most gorgeous white sand beaches in the world, Mexico’s coastlines are also well equipped for you to have a roaring good time. Playa del Carmen is one of the most lively and is lined with beach clubs and hotels.
It’s a busy spot with sun loungers, umbrellas and even waiter service straight to your chosen spot. Top artists have performed on this beach including world-famous David Guetta and Tiesto. You can’t get more spring break than that!
Mamitas Beach in Playacar is a close second when it comes to lively and exciting sandy locales. This coastline is named after the Mamitas Beach Club, a huge bar where snacks and drinks are delivered to your waterfront table setting.
This beach is also ideal for any watersport lovers, as you can rent jet-skis, banana boats and catamarans. When the sun goes down DJs keep the party going by playing chart topping tracks till the wee-hours of the morning.
Best cocktail bars
Spring break holidays call for an epic amount of delicious cocktails, and Mexico is just the place to make those drink dreams come true. Mexican cocktails are infused with citrus and fresh fruits, with margaritas as the main event.
For some local flavour head to La Taberna in Cancun. This welcoming downtown bar is a popular joint for a relaxing drink, it also plays all the major sporting events on TV. Open from 1pm to 5am, you’ll have lots of time to try all the cocktails on the menu.
La Nocha in Puerto Vallarta will give you a night to remember. This hotspot was first opened in 2002 as a intimate Martini lounge and today has three floors of dancing, cocktails and chart music. There’s even a rooftop bar so you can take in the views as you sip fruity cocktails and their oh-so-famous Martinis.
Best clubs to end the night on
Mexico’s nightlife is raging all year round, making it one of the best spots to experience a true spring break-like holiday, no matter what time you visit. The venues here range from beach clubs with fantastic ocean views, wild DJ fuelled nightclubs, quiet local pubs and sophisticated cocktail bars.
Curandero Tulum in Riviera Maya has their own live bands every night, with DJs taking up the reins as the sun starts to set. This club is open all night long and after 5pm the dancing and fun gets taken out onto the streets.
Dady’O in Cancun has a reputation for fun and has been an institution since the 1980’s. It’s one of the most well-loved clubs in the city, with a massive dance floor and plenty of seating. Dady’O features live music and DJ’s, as well as spring break-esque activities like bikini contests.
