Has Morocco been on your travel bucket list for a while? It’s a country filled with so much culture and plenty to explore, so if it’s not at the top of your list, it should be!
There’s tons of luxury hotels in Morocco – we don’t think we could choose one best place to stay in Morocco – but we sure can show you a few! Marrakech is typically made up of the beautiful and traditional riads, perfect for those looking for that authentic, city feel, while on the coast in Agadir, you’ll find the impressive All Inclusive hotels that exude luxury and panoramic beach views.
Here’s some of our favourite luxury hotels in Morocco.
RIU Tikida Palmeraie
The RIU Tikida Palmeraie is a stunning hotel found just outside of Marrakech and is set in 13 acres of beautiful gardens. This fresh, modern hotel has so many facilities that it feels like a village in its own right, with annexes dotted around the gardens. The hotel is 6km from Marrakech’s old quarter, and the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle bus into the centre of Marrakech.
One of the best things about going on holiday is, of course, not having to cook your own meals. The food scene at RIU Tikida Palmeraie has a smart buffet dining room, and there’s also a poolside eatery serving up light lunches and Italian cuisine for dinner. You can also grab dinner at an atmospheric Moroccan restaurant with a traditional menu. There’s a tranquil wellness centre at RIU Tikida Palmeraie which showcases a pair of hammams and there’s a menu of facials and muscle-melting massages to try out. Of course, you can also add a more luxurious feel to your stay here by opting to upgrade your hotel room. Junior suites are on offer which will give you a little more room to relax and they also come with a lounge area.
RIU Palace Tikida Taghazout
Another one of our favourite luxury hotels in Morocco is the RIU Palace Tikida Taghazout, and we just know you’ll love it too. This 5 star hotel is paradise with 7 swimming pools, a private beach area in Taghazout Bay, and a spa, with a selection of massage rooms and a beauty salon for the ultimate pamper. Two of RIU Palace Tikida Taghazout’s pools are reserved for adults and make for an enviably peaceful spot to soak up the sunshine. These pools are also infinity numbers so make sure to take plenty of gorgeous pictures for your friends and family back at home.
The restaurant line-up includes a couple of themed places and an eatery beside the waterfront. This poolside place becomes a steakhouse in the evening. Main dishes are à la carte, while starters and desserts are buffet style. You’ll need to book a table here for evening meals. The themed spots are Krystal Fusion à la carte restaurant and Moroccan à la carte restaurant.
Enjoy ultimate luxury at the spa by indulging yourself in a relaxing treatment. There’s plenty to choose from including massages, salon treatments and even a Turkish bath. The whole hotel has a real peaceful feel to it, and thanks to its location, you can enjoy the ultimate tranquil retreat. But, if you enjoy getting out and about to explore your surroundings, then not to worry! Taghazout city centre is only 5km away, and here you’ll find plenty to do including restaurants, bars, shops and some renowned surfing spots.
TUI BLUE Riu Tikida Beach Hotel
The adults-only TUI BLUE Riu Tikida Beach Hotel is located on the golden shores of Morocco’s Atlantic Coast in Agadir. With the beach and two very large pools on your doorstep, the enviably-situated hotel is perfect for people interested in water activities and exercise classes. If fitness isn’t your thing, indulge in the hammam, treatments, massages and more at the spa and wellness centre.
A fantastic added extra from this hotel is activities like wine tastings, cocktail masterclasses and cooking courses three times a week. Make sure you check out the daily programme to see what’s on offer. If you don’t fancy making cocktails and you just want to drink them, then you can make your way through the drinks list on an evening and enjoy delicious cocktails at the bar.
The restaurant scene here gets top marks too. The buffet restaurant boasts international cuisine, show-cooking and carving stations. There are themed evenings, too, and a terrace for al fresco dining. Our signature à la carte restaurant, the Culinarium, hosts themed evenings that revolve around the likes of seafood, sunsets and local specialities. You’ll need to book to eat here, and it’s open three times a week. You’ll have one dinner per stay included as part of your All Inclusive package, but just so you know, there’s no option to pay extra for a second visit.
