Cancun, Mexico
Of course, a firm favourite when it comes to 14 night holidays has to be Mexico. This beautiful country has so much to explore and when you’re hopping on a plane for around 10 hours, you want to enjoy as much time there as possible. One thing you can be sure of here is that the hotels are something special! A holiday to Mexico takes all inclusive to the next level! Alongside fantastic food and drink which is included in your holiday package, our fantastic range of hotels in Mexico offer fabulous facilities to keep you entertained throughout your whole holiday.
If your idea of a perfect holiday is arriving and instantly checking out the fabulous spa facilities, then we think you’ll love Catalonia Riviera Maya. The Alegría Spa covers two floors – it has a hydrotherapy area with sauna, steam room, plunge pool and indoor pool. Treatments include massages and mani-pedis. There’s also a handful of couples treatment rooms and massage booths, so you’re able to relax with your other half if you’d like to.
For foodies, we can highly recommend Royalton Riviera Cancun thanks to its stellar restaurant list. There’s nine spots to choose from, so variety is definitely on the menu here. Some of the cuisines on offer include Italian, Tex Mex, Japanese and plenty more. But to add that touch of class to your holiday, we definitely suggest booking a spot at C/X Culinary Experience. It’s a private dining experience serving up a 7 course menu along with the perfect cocktail pairings. How amazing does that sound?
Tenerife, Canary Islands
The island of Tenerife is a fantastic place to visit, and since it’s the largest of the Canary Islands, you can be confident that there’s plenty to do to keep you busy during a two week holiday! Some of the much-loved resorts in Tenerife include Playa de las Americas and Costa Adeje, and thanks to their popularity, you can be sure there’s plenty of things going on here. Of course, the Canary Islands are known for having great weather, and thanks to their location on the globe, you can expect toasty warm conditions for most of the year. That means, no matter when you’re craving that dose of two-week sunshine, you can count on Tenerife to have it.
Tenerife is a great island to visit if you’re a bit of an explorer. Everything from sea level to sky high heights has a unique touch, like the black sand beaches or dormant volcano, Mount Teide. These unique landscapes offer so much to explore and if you like a touch of adventure on your holiday you won’t be disappointed. If your ideal two week holiday involves plenty of hiking trails, then the dizzying heights of Mount Teide will be your best friend. It’s the highest peak in Spain, so make sure you pack your comfortable walking shoes.
If you prefer to have your feet firmly on flat ground, and get your holiday enjoyment from good food, great drinks and even better company, then we highly recommend you visit the resort of Playa de las Americas. It’s known for its natural and man-made beaches, lively surf and vibrant nightlife. Avenida las Américas is lined with shops and restaurants and Arona Pyramid auditorium stages flamenco shows. Siam Park is to the north of Playa de las Americas too – this is a great place to visit if you love a water park! It’s a great day out for the whole family and as well as the high-adrenaline slides, there’s also some more chilled options like the lazy river.
Antalya, Turkey
Antalya, also known as the Turkish Riviera, is found along Turkey’s southwestern coast. It’s home to miles of beaches, ancient ruins and luxury hotels, and that’s only scratching the surface. Adventure and exploring is top of the hit list here when it comes to filling your time on a two week getaway.
History buffs will be in their element thanks to the plenty of ancient ruins and sites to discover. Thousands of years of history have left their mark on the Antalya region in the form of Greek amphitheatres, Roman ruins and Ottoman architecture. Side is ruins central, and is home to the famous Temple of Apollo. But Termessos and Perge beside the capital aren’t far behind, ancient cities equipped with amphitheatres, Roman baths and enough free-standing pillars to last a lifetime.
And when you’ve had your fill of diving into history, here are also watersports, boat trips, waterparks, white water rafting and animal parks, many of which can be found in the region’s largest city and capital, Antalya City. Then there’s Lara Beach – the Las Vegas of Turkey – complete with high-flying hotels modelled after the Titanic and Kremlin, definitely worth a visit. But a stand out attraction for us has to be The Land Of The Legends theme park in Belek. It’s a theme park, water park and stunning shopping parade, all wrapped up into one fantastic place to visit. If you’re planning a two week holiday to Turkey then this must be part of your itinerary!
Tunisia, North Africa
If you’ve never tried a holiday to Tunisia, we think you’re seriously missing out! Tunisia might only take up a small spot on North Africa’s coast but it’s the definition of small and mighty. Although each resort in Tunisia may offer something different, they all serve up a hefty dose of sunshine which is of course a key ingredient for a 14 night holiday. Hammamet is the country’s original holidaymaker’s haven, while Djerba stuns with classic beach-scapes and whitewashed architecture. And then there’s Sousse, the shiniest jewel in Tunisia’s culture crown, complete with a UNESCO World Heritage Site and museums galore.
If it’s streets riddled with history you’re after with your Tunisia holiday package, you’ve come to the right place. Tunisia’s past extends thousands and thousands of years back, and has left us with remains from the Romans, Phoenicians, French and so much more. Just look at the Medina in Sousse. Staggeringly big and sandstone brown, this UNESCO World Heritage Site comprises a Kasbah, fortifications and the Great Mosque of Sousse, not to mention Sousse’s Archaeological Museum. Pausing here is a great way to peek into Tunisia’s colourful history.
When it comes to holidays, if your favourite pastime is exploring your surroundings and taking in all the natural beauty of a new country to your roster, you won’t be short of amazing sights in Tunisia. Tunisia edges along the Atlas Mountains and Sahara Desert, which are two iconic sights when it comes to natural beauty. As well as these, thanks to its position on North Africa’s coast, Tunisia boasts plenty of beaches to explore too. Djerba has some of the most picturesque shores in Tunisia, ringed with off-white sand that makes way for bright blue water.
Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
Fourteen nights in the Dominican Republic? Uh, yes please! While some two week holidays will be jam-packed full of activities, a holiday to the Dominican Republic is all about utter relaxation. Punta Cana is one of our favourite spots thanks to its world-class beaches, desert islands and historical towns. There’s also more than 50 miles of white-sand coast from Bavaro to Uvero and beyond. And most of it’s backed by coconut-bearing palm trees – earning this region the title of the Coconut Coast!
But, the cherry on the cake for a relaxing holiday is of course having the perfect hotel to put your feet up in. One of our favourites for foodies is the Royalton Punta Cana! This hotel and its sister property rack up an impressive 10 restaurants, and you don’t have to make a reservation. One place sizzles with European cuisine, while on the beach there’s a trattoria with a romantic feel. There’s a la carte dining options, buffet restaurants and even the C/X Culinary Experience.
If you’re a lover of being pampered, then one of our top favourite spots has to be the Bahia Principe Grand Punta Cana. Indulge in the range of Caribbean treatments on offer at the Bahia spa. You can take your pick from a range of massages, reflexology, facial and body treatments. You’ll find a hydrotherapy area with saunas, Vichy shower, jet shower and bubble beds. There’s a beauty salon too, offering manicures and pedicures. The Vichy shower is a unique concept – lie down, relax and take a slightly different shower, whilst the water cascades over you from several shower heads.
