Making Memories in Mastichari

TUI Magic Life Marmari Palace By Atlantica is found on the beautiful Greek island of Kos, on the outskirts of Mastichari. Mastichari is a peaceful fishing village on the west coast of Kos. It’s a small, compact place with just 4 streets to get around. The locals pride themselves on the super-fresh fish that goes straight from the harbour to the friendly tavernas, as well as their laid-back, disco-free evenings.

It takes around 40 minutes to reach the hotel from the airport on your pre-booked coach transfer. It’s a breeze hopping off the plane and knowing your transfer is already arranged and waiting for you. When you arrive, the grand entrance welcomes you inside, where you’ll be greeted by the friendly members of the hotel team. If you arrive very late at night, you’ll have a delicious packed lunch made up for you so you don’t go to sleep on an empty tummy. Daytime arrivals are greeted by a table filled with refreshing welcome drinks, the perfect way to start your holiday.

Splishin’ And Splashin’

All eyes are on the pool area here, it spreads across 5,000 metres! There are six pools sprinkled around the grounds and they’re all pretty close to each other. One of the pools even has lanes which are great for getting in some exercise if that’s your style on holiday. Little ones have four great spots to pick from, one of which has some super fun slides to whizz down.

In the main pool area is where you’ll find a delicious outdoor snack bar. Here you can grab yourself a bite to eat to refuel during a busy day of swimming. Some of the tasty treats on offer include burgers, pizza slices, chips and of course, freshly cooked gyros wrapped in a flatbread. There’s also a fantastic snack bar down at the beach too, so you don’t need to worry about heading back up to the hotel if you get peckish. The beach bar is open between 10am and 6pm, so make sure to pack refreshments in your beach bag if you’re wanting something outside of these times.

One of the pools also boasts a swim up bar! You don’t even need to step out of the refreshing waters to get your favourite drink, how cool is that. Whether you’re a fan of a delicious cocktail or prefer a soft drink in the sun, the bar has plenty to offer, and there’s even in-water bar stools dotted around so you can hop up and enjoy your drink.

Foodie’s Paradise

The hotel’s dining scene includes a buffet place with an al fresco terrace that has beautiful sea views, themed nights and show-cooking stations. The buffet is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and there’s always a fantastic range of dishes on offer. There’s also a Green Fit Corner with healthy, wholesome food and a baby corner, where you’ll have access to a microwave, bottle warmer and kettle.

TUI Magic Life Marmari Palace By Atlantica also has two delicious specialty restaurants. As part of your all inclusive package, you can visit one of these during your stay at no extra cost. Both of the speciality spots are a la carte meaning you can pick your favourite dish from the menu and enjoy fantastic waiter service. The Taverna serves up local dishes in an authentic beach-hut setting by the sand. The Flavour restaurant is a modern setting to enjoy dishes from the 5 TUI Magic Life countries which are Spain, Greece, Turkey, Egypt and Tunisia.

After dinner, there’s plenty of entertainment on offer for the whole family. The amphitheatre plays host to live music and international shows several times a week. There’s a big cinema screen on the stage, too, so you can watch the weekly open-air films. Plus, the lounge bar stays open 24/7, and offers cocktails with a sea view.

Getting Active Or Chilling Out

Whether you enjoy keeping fit while you’re on holiday, or you’re more of the chilled type of holidayer, you’ll find your perfect pastime at TUI Magic Life Marmari Palace By Atlantica. For the sporty types, you can borrow bikes and head off into the countryside, or go canoeing to another beach nearby. There are floodlit tennis courts that look like they belong on the professional circuit. A rota of fitness classes is on offer too, with things like pilates, dance and Nordic walking. Alternatively, you can grab windsurfing gear down on the beach, or take a lesson for a little extra.

The more laid back holidaymakers will be delighted to discover that the hotel has a fabulous spa. Evridiki Spa is home to a fantastic list of treatments including soothing massages which is just what you need to feel refreshed and relaxed.
