Majorca, Balearic Islands
Majorca is one of our favourite destinations because of its beautiful beaches, sizzling sun, short flight time and amazing value deals. This island in the Med is known to have plenty of family-friendly hotels, but don’t be fooled – there are also tonnes of idyllic resorts just for adults to stay at during the holidays (we’d recommend visiting in the May half term or summer six weeks). One of our favourite hotels is the stunning Alua Soul Mallorca Resort.
The radiant Alua Soul Mallorca Resort is close to the popular town of Cala D’or and has three outdoor pools to choose from as well as a lovely beachfront location. The adult-only label means you’ll be able to have a peaceful summer escape in the most gorgeous surroundings. When you’re hungry, you can choose from two buffet restaurants or an a la carte restaurant, or you could grab yourself a light bite from the beach and poolside snack bar. With live entertainment in the evening after a day of soaking up the sun, there’s nothing this place doesn’t have!
Boa Vista, Cape Verde
Take off for total tranquility by bright turquoise waters with a heavenly trip to Boa Vista in Cape Verde. Those who like to totally slow down and unwind on their holidays will fall in love with this stunning group of islands just off the west coast of Africa. You can expect delightful weather all year round, as well as lavish resorts on sprawling, unspoiled beached just perfect for relaxing. One of our favourite hotels here is the TUI BLUE Cabo Verde.

Crete, Greek Islands

Tenerife has long been one of our most popular destinations. One of our favourite adult-only hotels in Tenerife is the Atlantic Mirage in Puerto De La Cruz. It’s sleek and sophisticated, with gorgeous rooms and rooftop hot tubs. When you stay at this hotel, you’re conveniently just a short walk away from a volcanic beach, as well as being a 15-minute stroll away from the centre of Puerto De La Cruz where you’ll find a quaint harbour and a scenic Old Town. Rhodes, Greek Islands
The Greek Islands never miss when it comes to fun and rejuvenating holidays in the sun. Rhodes is one of our favourites, with picturesque, traditional seaside resorts and fascinating pieces of history to explore. This sunny stretch of the Andalucian coastline is bursting with activities and lined with world-class hotels teachers are bound to love. If you’re hoping to get a typical holiday fix of sun, sea, sand and total relaxation, this destination is certainly one to note.
Want to find a holiday that has plenty of little luxuries and all the sun you could ask for? Check out the four-star RIU Monica Hotel in Nerja. It’s the perfect retreat for switching off and watching the world go by with a refreshing drink in hand and warming rays hitting your skin. The hotel is right by the soft, sandy beach of Playa de la Torrecilla and has the perfect location for those wanting to try out local bars and tapas restaurants, not to mention there’s a shopping centre just a five-minute walk away. It’s got everything!
Dalaman, Turkey
Are you a sun worshipper who likes baking hot rays and destinations with endless adventure? If so, you’ll fall completely in love with the Dalaman region of Turkey. There’s so much to discover in this dreamy destination, from spotless beaches and mythical caves to boat trips and bouncing nightlife. One of the most popular parts of the region is Marmaris – a sun hotspot that’s long a favourite holiday destination among Brits.
There are plenty of hotels to choose from in Marmaris, but one we particularly love for those seeking an adult-only summer break is the Sea Star. This four-star haven has incredible ratings on TripAdvisor and boasts its own private beach and pier. You can spend your days chilling by one of the pools whilst looking out onto the twinkling sea, or you could wander around 10 minutes to get to the lovely town of Icmeler.
