Lapland
Lapland is the ideal Christmas holiday for any families with small children who want to experience an incredibly, magical winter wonderland. This Finnish region has all the elements to make up a once-in-a-lifetime Christmas adventure, complete with dog-sledding, outdoor skating, reindeer and of course, the Santa Claus Village.
There’s a whole load of festiveness going around these parts, which are sure to win over any Ebenezer Scrooges. Children can meet the most magical man himself, and whether you call him Father Christmas, Santa Clause, Kris Kringle, Saint Nicholas or a whole host of other names, he is sure to delight.
Majorca
For a twist on the usual festive holiday experience, come to sunny Majorca. A quick flight away for UK holidaymakers, this Mediterranean island prides itself on its annual Christmas festivities. The towns are decked to the halls with classic Christmas decor, and beautiful lights complete with switching on ceremonies.

Iceland
The days may be short over Christmas in Iceland, but there’s still plenty to do for the family, especially if you have some nature lovers in yours. Go visit the glaciers in the highlands of Iceland and see the beautiful waterfalls that are half frozen over. Then take a tour of the Golden Circle, finishing with the grandeur of the Northern Lights.
