Warm up your winter by planning a toasty Caribbean getaway in the Dominican Republic. November is a great time to visit the Dominican Republic as the rain has cleared and the temperatures are starting to increase. Daily temperatures can range from around 24°C to 29°C, coastal areas benefit from a cooling sea breeze so they can be a bit cooler than more inland. While a holiday to the Dominican Republic can appear to be hours and hours of sunbathing and relaxation, which it can be if that;s what you desire, it can also be so much more. There are tonnes of excursions you can book which will have you exploring wondrous natural sites such as the rock pools of Hoyo Azul and the colourful coral reefs of Samana. December
Lapland
While some people may crave glorious sunshine in December, what could be more magical or more fitting than a wintery break to Lapland. Compared to some of the other temperatures we’ve listed, Lapland’s average of -6°C sounds pretty terrifying, but when you’re wrapped up in a snowsuit, being pulled on a sled by huskies on your way to meet Santa, we promise you won’t be feeling the cold! Whether you have young children or not, there’s no denying the magic of Christmas gets to us all, and you’ll feel so Christmassy when you’re exploring the home of Santa Claus. There’s more to Lapland too than typical Christmas traditions – the Northern Lights, also known as Aurora Borealis, are known for lighting up the night sky in Lapland, and many people take trips to Lapland just to see them.
