What is spring break?
Spring break is technically our Easter holidays – schools, colleges and universities break up for two weeks and students let their hair down and party after months of hard work. This craze originated in America but has increased in popularity over the years, and has now made its way to a number of European destinations.
We would like to introduce you to our top European spring break destination… Croatia. Over the last couple of years, Croatia festivals have steadily increased in popularity, becoming the ‘in’ place for party-goers everywhere. And as the filming location of the the hit TV show Game of Thrones, there’s no wonder holidaymakers are heading to its shores each year.
When is Croatia’s spring break?
Croatia plays host to two spring breaks this year, 3rd June – 7th June and 17th – 21st June.
What’s it all about?
If you love to party in the thick of all the action then say hello to Croatia’s spring break. Top international DJs will be belting out the latest tunes while partygoers soak up the atmosphere.
If you fancy a break from all the partying, the crystal clear Adriatic Sea is a great place to try out some adrenaline pumping watersports from wakeboarding to parasailing. And if you’re feeling super brave you could always try a bungee jump?
Where does it take place?
Pag Island is where you’ll find Zrce beach, which is the main location for this non-stop party. This party-filled resort is fast becoming the ’new’ Ibiza with its ever-lasting festivities. So, if you want to be in reaching distance of all the bars and nightclubs we would recommend staying in Novalija or Zrce Beach. However, quieter resorts can also be found on this vibrant island if you don’t fancy being in the heart of the action.
In the centre of all the fun you’ll find NOA Beach Club. This amazing club is certainly leading the way in terms of trendy beach clubs, featuring a central pool, five bars, and not to mention that all important dance floor where you can really showcase your moves. For that special occasion why not book a VIP area or how about a private island where you can celebrate in style?
Is it for me?
Although Croatia is fairly new on the party scene, it doesn’t matter because this new party favourite is starting to give Ibiza a run for its money. Not sure where to head? Then why not spread your summer across Ibiza and Croatia and take in Ibiza’s opening or closing parties before you head out to Croatia in June. This way you get to see what all the fuss is about.
